The site is well positioned right outside Glastonbury town center and has a wonderful view of the Tor. When I awoke there was mist gathering around the Tor was an excellent sight. The place is also next to the nature reserve so a few rare bird species flew in and out during my stay.

The place could do with more nice flower beds scattered around in my opinion. or a small pond in the center Of the site.
Hiya. Thanks for your comments. To address a few... We have looked into an electric gate but to get a reliable solar model is unfortunately way out of our budget currently. Hopefully some time in the future but until then we rely on our quality marine lock and that tried and tested technology, a large rock to hold it. We advertise ourselves as a wild camping site so it seems a little strange to expect flower beds, but over the course of the year we let a variety of native wildflowers do their thing. We can only assume you came while there was a bit of a floral lull. Not sure why you've marked us down on child friendliness as a lone traveller? Most of our visitors with kids are more than happy. And as for 3 out of 5 for wifi, congratulations you got any, it's not something we provide 🤣 Seems a shame to penalise us for that but you do you.

Really glad we chose the latter. Bobsfield is a little belter of a site and that all comes from Kevin and Sadie who clearly love what they do. When a place has owners who are really into what they’re trying to create and take pride in their site, and they make quirky and interesting design choices instead of the same old tents-on-a-field, it turns a camping trip into that next-level experience. Especially when they obviously enjoy having guests, talking about the area and the history of the place, being helpful if you need it or just letting you chill in peace if that’s your thing. Honestly, you combine all that with a beautiful location in front of Glastonbury Tor and all Somerset has to offer and you’re onto a winner. Hope to be back again with the kids sometime.
