Nice clean modern site

Lovely fresh clean site, away from the main road and quiet relaxing location.

We recently stayed at Barrow campsite and had a great experience. Easy entry and exit with gates with electronic code. A wonderful smooth field on which it is easy to place a tent. All common areas are well organised and sparkling clean.Toilets are cleaner than operating rooms in a hospital. A separate dog walking area was also useful. At the reception you can buy the necessary goods, as well as local eggs and meat. Campsite owners are very friendly and always ready to help. When the battery in our car become flat we received help immediately. I highly recommend this campsite.

Barrow-Campsite ist ein toller Platz.

Das wichtigste zuerst, die Sanitäranlagen sind einfach (Container) aber absolut ausreichend und zu jeder Tageszeit supersauber - das ist für uns das Allerwichtigste. Wir haben selten so saubere Anlagen vorgefunden. Auch die Einrichtungen zum Spülen sind sauber und Waschmaschine und Trockner sind modern und gepflegt. Hervorragendes Wlan.

Die Stellplätze sind sehr großzügig und fast eben (Keile haben wir keine gebraucht), der ganze Platz und das Umfeld machen einen sehr ordentlichen und aufgeräumten Eindruck. Der Schotter auf den Hartplätzen hat kein Feinkorn, man trägt sich daher keinen Dreck ins Mobil. Es ist superleise hier. Der Platz lag für uns günstig, um Inverness, Culloden Battlefield und Fort George zu besuchen.

Supernett ist Karl, der Chef vom Platz. Er macht möglich, was möglich ist und hilft freundlich und zuvorkommend. Auch ein Umstellen zwischendurch war kein Problem. Bei Buchung bekommt man zusätzlich eine freundliche SMS mit Platznummer und dem Code für die Schranke. Da kann beim Einchecken nichts schief gehen.

Es gibt einen gepflegten Spielplatz für Familien mit Kids. Das Gelände um den Platz ist sehr großräumig, besonders Leute mit Hund finden gute Möglichkeiten, um mit dem Hund ein wenig zu laufen ohne andere Camper zu stören.

Beim nächsten Schottlandbesuch kommen wir wieder!

Eine winzige Kleinigkeit gibt es doch zu bemängeln, wobei nicht klar ist, ob es überhaupt am Platz liegt oder vielmehr am örtlichen Stromnetz. Das Stromnetz war nicht immer stabil, es gab ab und zu Schwankungen, die unsere (zugegebenermaßen aufwändige) Bordelektronik verwirrt haben.

Cleanest and nicest bathroom facilities we've used, loved the animals onsite and even had a ice cream truck come through at on point. Just a really enjoyable stay.

Only problem was the mop left for cleaning the shower stalls after use left the stall dirtier because of glass cuttings. Might be a good idea to have a squeegee on hand as well.

This is a small site with great facilities available. Clean toilets and showers. Excellent place for a family as even though its a small site, they have provided TWO play areas and sit and ride toys. There is even a shop for essentials. Amazing sunsets even on dull drizzly days.

Not a big issue but there was no method of drying the puddles on the floor from the water off the shower curtains.
Some families were playing ball games (shinty sticks with tennis ball) right beside the vans/caravans rather than at the 2 play areas.

Campsite was exceptionally clean. Very quiet and good location.
