Lovely setting not far from the marina and local pubs. Laid back atmosphere.

Did not feel there were enough showers and toilets for both campers and public swimmer using the lake.

A small site with open-field camping, a decent amount of space and a nice outlook from the top of the field where we were. On-site facilities are great, serving both campers and those swimming/diving at the lake. Nice pub-restaurants are a short walk from the site.

The setting was picturesque if a little remote.

Heavy traffic in the morning on the way to the ferry.

We both loved the absolute Rustic charm of Andark. The camping field is spacious and set away from the EHU motorhome pitches. The backdrop all around is peace and tranquility, the forest us beautiful with lovely walking trails for dogs. The bathroom and shower facilities were great...spacious and clean. Hot showers ( takes a bit for water to come through hot) with good pressure. The motorhome pitches were level, with ample space all around. The lake and on site cafe are perfect for camping. I like how it was separate from the campsite but very close ( above on the bank).

Locally the area and marinas are stunning. We walked the 1 mile walk to The Jolly Sailor for delicious meals & cocktails overlooking tge River Hamble and Marinas.

Grass was a little long and straggly but I guess added to the rustic charm.

This is a great site peace full , location is superb just a short walk from the river Hamble and donkey sanctuary, If you do visit book in to the Old Ship Inn which is at the bottom of the road food superb. The site has very clean showers and toilets, and if you want you can pay for a swim in the small lake

Wasn't really set up as a camp site.more for swimmers. Elsan point had no chemicals .no room in showers for clothes.
