From the warm welcome as we arrived and the rest of our stay nothing was to much trouble and there was plenty of helpful advice and information. The toilet/ shower block was spotless and there was plenty of hot water. We loved the walks, the closeness to the rail and bus links once set up with didn’t have to drive again

Lovely friendly staff especially Graham and Ann-Marie who were
very knowledgable about the local area, especially the bike routes (although these were limited for the area) The site was clean and tidy, facilities excellent and location great for trains and buses and some fantastic local attractions about a 15 minute drive away

No proper bike routes or walks directly from the site

Incredibly clean and well maintained bathrooms. Highest standard we’ve experienced on our camping journeys. Security was great. Also with an electronically controlled main gate. Reception staff, incredibly friendly and accommodating calling me the day after my booking to confirm a few details. And calling us on our way down to check on our welfare as we had young children and our estimated arrival time. Pitch size was great and not too overcrowded, with bins and drinking water facilities, less than 10 to 20 steps away. On site games room is a nice surprise, kept the children quiet for a good 30 minutes to an hour. The outdoor play area also incredibly well maintained. Very impressed.

Unfortunately, our pitch had had an absolute hammering according to the member of staff who took us there when we arrived. Almost not a blade of grass insight, mostly mud with fresh grass seeds sprinkled on top. This became quite frustrating pack up, as the seeds had got everywhere and the ground sheet was absolutely caked in mud.

Very close proximity to the railway line, with trains running throughout the night. Good job my children are very heavy sleepers. Games room needs to be checked for litter more regularly. As even to the point of us leaving, there was a Costa coffee cup amongst the board games on the table, that clearly been there awhile as it had gone mouldy on the contents.

Great staff all very friendly, went for the xl pitch which was very nice in terms of space and a little bit of privacy, toilets and showers were very clean and large enough to shower my young children off without feeling squashed, very close to lots of attractions such as monkey world and the tank museum. On site play area is small but as we don’t spend all our time of site very useable for us. Overall a great experience and we have booked again for next year

Small shop for essentials and snug games room. Toilet/shower facilities were kept clean.

Pitched right next to the playground, where older kids would congregate at night with some choice language.
No real views to speak of.
No fires allowed and £2.50 per device per day Wi-Fi charge.

Very warm welcome & very clean facilities. Staff sorted out grass pitch, when we didn’t like gravel pitch location we’d booked, with no qualms. Level pitches. Excellent location for touring Dorset. Loved the local dog walks along a riverside that was on the doorstep.

Grass pitch a little muddy so had to pitch carefully. Felt enclosed when a new camper pitched very close to our van’s pitch, but thankfully it was our last night on site. I prefer a part gravel/part grass pitch that the site have available on some of their other pitches, but not sure if they are seasonal caravan pitches? I’d enquire as to which pitch/location I was getting before booking again.

We arrived to a friendly welcome and taken to our pitch, which was close to the amenities - a shop, well equipped toilets and showers which were also spotless plus a games room, which we didn’t get around to using unfortunately.
We used this as a base for visiting family and found it ideal for also visiting Bournemouth (about 50 minutes away) and Weymouth (about 25 minutes away) which we went to, with Monkey World just around the corner.
The site was close to a train track and we could hear the rumble of the trains at night, but I found it therapeutic and not at all overly noisy. The site itself has a no noise at night policy and this was adhered to and made it great for a good nights sleep. There is a dog walking field on site which my husband and son used to walk our dog, and said it was good.
We enjoyed our stay and will definitely visit again.

Lovely campsite , across from local pub that does food and drink . Campsite was clean and owner was very friendly and helpful with things to do locally . Short 10 minute walk from local spar, Bakery and butchers , wool train station 5 minutes walk aswell with bus stop outside , Durdle door and lulworth cove just 15 mins drive from campsite . Campsite also has shop onsite which was handy and some nice walks leading from campsite . I also liked the added touch of dvd’s and book to help yourselves too by the reception

Only downside was women’s showers had very short timer on before they turned off and would have to turn back on again , understand the reasoning behind it though . Would have also liked more plugs in bathroom , there as one but had to pay to use
