A peaceful well run site. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our week at West Down Orchard. The facilities were very clean and well thought out, something us older folks appreciate. The site itself was well maintained. The long term residents on site were welcoming and cheerful, giving the site a community feel which we loved. We intend to return next year.

Visited this campsite to attend a local park run at frogmary green farm, very easy to walk or drive too from the campsite.
Welcome reception on arrival at the site, very clean facilities, hot showers and washing up area.
Great for what we required for a quick trip.

Good facilities. Shower block was always clean and tidy, and although we didn't use it, it had a supply of essentials you may have forgotten. There was always a shower free even at peak times.

There is loads of space for pitches, which makes a change as often you get crammed in.

The campsite was really quiet. Very little noise from other campers or road noise etc.

The site is predominantly long term residential / storage pitches, which definitely changes the vibe of the site...you don't get the same feel as you do when there are lots of other holiday campers. Instead there are lots of RVs and caravans with semi-permenant sheds/garden features etc, and a stream of people leaving early for work (presumably) on week day mornings.This is the main reason for lowering the score, it's a nice site, but I wouldn't return on this basis.

Very very nice campsite! Everything one needs is there. Nice staff too. Geest place to be!!

We very much enjoyed our stay at West Down Orchard Touring and Camping Park.
The staff were very friendly and the facilities were clean.
We will definitely visit this site again.

The site is one of the cleanest and nicest places we have stayed at. Everyone on site was really friendly. Has amazing security, as travelling with someone with anxiety this really helped. The views from the site are amazing too.

Perfectly situated for a stop over from the A303 literally 2 mins off the road. Lovely peaceful site with friendly staff. Fab views and orchard walk.Very reasonably priced. Will definitely return.

Welcoming and friendly staff. Very helpful young lad which I presume was the owners grandson who pointed out the water tap for me. I parked down in the orchard area which was beautiful and quiet, away from the main areas but still only a short walk from facilities. Easy to get pretty level using blocks. Facilities were clean, tidy and well stocked. Some toiletries on offer in case you’ve forgotten something which was a lovely touch. Showers hot and with good pressure. Incredible walks from the site. The orchard area is simply beautiful and I had a lovely 5km run around the local farmland. Very good rates for what you get. I will definitely be returning when I’m next in the area.

Shower gets extremely hot and it wasn’t immediately obvious which way was hot and cold, would be easy to scold yourself. A couple of arrows on the wall would be very helpful. But very minor point, everything else was perfect!

Lovely orchard walks to pub with good food (Royal Oak). Clean toilet facilities and attractive looking entrance with tended flowers. Quiet and peaceful. Easy to find just off main road.

95% permanent residents with untidy pitches which lacked any holiday vibe. Luckily we were only staying for one night but it was still a bit disappointing. The touring field on a slope felt like it has been forgotten as a huge bonfire pile full of tree cuttings and junk was the main feature. Bit of a con really.
