A gem of a camp site, staff very helpful and polite. Toilets lovely and clean, lovely showers with no additional cost. Train line behind our pitch but was no problem with only few trains running daily. Fishing lake was fabulous and me being a novice still managed to catch a 10lb beauty. Lovely setting with lots of wildlife around, even saw kingfishers flying across the lake. Will definitely be returning soon.

We were 5 minutes from arriving,when we recieved a call to tell us that the touring field we had booked into was closed,and we would be put in an occasional pitch,still with electric but not the pitch we had booked,as there was an event on.
The only reason we booked this site,was that the first words on website was peaceful. No mention of what type of event was mentioned,but upon talking to another caravanner,it was a music festival.
Needless to say we got a refund and left.
Very poor communication,we would not have booked it had we known.

The site was really well laid out with efficient and helpful staff. Plenty of signage and the shower block was first rate. The pitches were large enough and well spaced out.
A special mention for the brilliant entertainment that was laid on for this weekend. Well done to all those that organised it. Hope it happens again next year.

Campsite was peaceful clean and very accommodating we found that not having g some sort of little shop for the essentials was the only thing wrong but saying this the nearest shop was not to far away I would definitely stay there again without any doubts

Could do with a little store or shop for essentials but other than this it has no faults at all I Would recommend any body to come and stay

This was a nice peaceful site and at the time of stay, not busy in the Tourer section. Toilets and showers were clean and well maintained. The whole site was well maintained with obvious recent and ongoing investment to improve pitches. We were very impressed when we arrived and the staff were very friendly and keen to help the check in process. It was a nice touch to get a call during our journey to the site to let me know of a possible internet issue but in the event, we did not encounter any problems. Thanks

The drinking water tap in the touring area had an over long hose attached which allowed the end to trail on ground. Maybe just needs shortening or a clip to park the hose end into.

Really friendly staff, delicious pizza oven on Friday evening and great fishing. Perfect spot to relax and let go.

Good pub & food in next village Salutation inn

No light outside amenities block, no socket or facilities to use hair dryer in shower block
Uneven grass pitch, but apparently gravel pitches on another section didn’t know about,
Our break was spoilt by pitch with loud noise, bad language and letting dogs roam all over field
