To compound the issue, I was unable to utilise a guy rope for my front as the gravel road was too close. This resulted in a tent that was not as robust as it could have been during quite nasty weather. The gravel road was noisy, compounded by speeding and inconsiderate drivers at silly times of the night. Maybe a lockout policy for cars arriving after 22:00 hrs would stop such poor car behaviour at unsocial hours?

Lots of rules for the site like no ball games, no kettles, no use of toasters which I’ve not experienced at any other campsite.
Thank you for your review. We are always striving to improve the site, and we take on board your comments regarding the pitch, although you failed to mention it is a very large and private pitch. I'm sorry that the singer was not to your taste, but as a disabled person in a wheelchair who adjusts his songs to best of his abilities, he is very popular. He played for 2hrs between 7pm & 9pm, which is our standard entertainment slot. Kettles & toasters can be used, as long as they are low wattage specifically for camping. Our hook up is 16 amp, which again is standard across most sites. Household kettles & toasters can cause the electrics to trip, inconveniencing other campers. The "No Ball Games" rule is there to protect other campers/tourers tents, motorhomes and caravans. Children can become over zealous when kicking footballs and rugby balls etc, and I'm sure you wouldn't be too impressed if your very expensive motorhome was struck with a stray ball. This has happened in the past and caused a huge argument between campers, hence why the rule was brought in.

There are 2 toilet & shower blocks on site and they are cleaned every day between 9am and Midday. I can only presume that you were using them when one of them was being cleaned, as each side is closed off alternatively. The play park is only shut between the hours of 9pm - 9am. The children you refer to were all under the age of 13, and were just playing games & drawing etc, so I am not sure they can be referred to as a "gang" ! You did in fact travel with 3 children of your own. Are they a "gang" when they play together ? As for the rubbish overflowing, we do sometimes have an issue early mornings, when the seagulls have attacked full bins. This is always addressed as soon as we are aware. Please contact South West water regarding the taste of our water, as we are on mains water the same as the rest of Brixham. If you are going to leave a review with pictures, please try and take these during working hours, and not before staff have arrived at the site and been given the chance to do their rounds.
