On speaking to Jayne before our stay, she advised they place you in a pitch we were not aware of therefore let her know 2 days before we were due that we were staying with friends. They were able to accommodate our request at late notice to be pitched together which we were really grateful for.
I’ve not stayed at a site before that give you a pitch so was a little uneasy as wasn’t sure what to expect but this actually worked extremely well. All campers are placed around the edge of the field which gave the children onsite so much space to play in. It was really lovely to see the amount of families playing games.
Location was very good as not far from everything you want to see and/or do.
N'a pas aimé : Fire pits are allowed which was not an issue but it was very wet one evening so the smoke just lingered. Maybe fire pits shouldn’t be allowed at this point as everything smells even when you don’t have a fire yourself.

We take pride in our cleaning and have been ‘bowled over’ by the amazing reviews we have received this year about all aspects of our site, but especially the facilities and the friendliness of the Old Stables Team. 😄.
With the volume of requests we receive, we have to forward plan and allocate pitches up to 2 weeks in advance, or we would never be able to allow these requests, but are glad that you acknowledge that it works extremely well.
With regards to the fire pits, it is not normal practice for campers to have fire pits in the rain, as usually they are all inside sheltering from the weather and none get lit. We are sorry that the smoke lingered for you, but hopefully this is not a regular occurrence.

The campsite was great, large pitches, hot showers and hot water washing facilities which were always clean.
The homemade coffee cake from the office was delicious and I was gutted they had sold out on the morning we left because I was looking forward to eating it on the long drive home. We also tried the pizza from the pizza van that too was very nice and a nice treat.
Plenty beaches within short driving distance too. Godrevy is a national trust so we had free parking with our national trust cardand walked for miles when the tide was out.
The campsite is located by a road but that didn’t bother me at all as it was still quieter than the road I live on.
When we return to Cornwall in the future we would definitely book here again :)
Put one star for wifi because not sure wether it was an option but we didn’t ask as we didn’t need it.N'a pas aimé : Nothing I disliked
