(This is probably a review of PitchUp rather than the site). I liked the fact that the site owner contacted us as soon as they realised there was a problem, the lass on the phone was very upset and apologetic.

I disliked that PitchUp were selling pitches on a site that was not open. Now, I feel sure they will blame the site and claim they were given the wrong information. I would counter this by saying that we went back on the PitchUp site and looked for another booking as we were locked and loaded ready to go. Having found some possible sites with available pitches I contacted the site directly and was told that they were completely booked (it was Easter) but PitchUp said the site had still available pitches. In all honesty I was not going to respond to the review request until I received an email telling me that PitchUp would refund the the pitch charges but minus their commission? Take from this what you will, I think I will be booking directly in future.

No shower facilities

Quirky site next to busy canal with pigs and ducks. Many chill out areas with sofas, fire pits and bar.
Nice pub 1.5 miles down the canal tow path.

M40 motorway is nearby and there is a constant background noise. Not too intrusive but could irritate some.
Festival type toilets. Were clean but not everybody's toilet of choice.

Great staff and on site food and shop were really good. Busy as there was a band playing, but all well organised.
