Facilities were very good and very clean. 4 toilets and 2 showers. Kettle and free tea and coffee in mini indoor kitchen. Indoor and outdoor sinks for washing dishes. Lots of picnic benches on site plus some by kitchen area. Very helpful host.

We stayed here for 3 nights and had an amazing time. Freda was so lovely and welcoming, giving great recommendations for things to do in the surrounding area. The campsite is in the most gorgeous area, overlooking the river and the surrounding scenery. The toilets, showers and communal area were spotless, along with complimentary tea, coffee, milk and sugar. We also had the option to pay for a fire pit, wood and firelight during our stay, which was a great addition to our experience. It was a peaceful campsite with plenty of room and the freedom to set up wherever we wanted. We definitely will be returning again and couldn’t recommend it more.

We loved everything! Freda is an absolute gem of a human, for her alone we will be going back to the Boat House in just a few weeks. She works extremely hard to ensure the site runs smoothly…. I have never seen anyone control a mobility scooter with as much speed and agility as Freda did!! Lovely to chat with too!!

We had the friendliest greeting from her, she made sure we had all the information we needed for our stay and checked with us to make sure we had everything we required.

There is a lovely, clean toilet and shower block, and an area for making cups of tea/coffee provided for free, as well as a washing up area - washing up liquid and scourer also there to use.

The site was lovely and peaceful, with an absolutely gorgeous view of the river and mountains. Rodney’s pillar is not too far for anyone fancying a decent hike. We were able to hire a firepit which made for a lovely Saturday evening.

There is a local pub about 20 mins walk away, fantastic and friendly landlord, great environment for some food and drink.
