Friendly greeting upon arrival, lovely clean site

Nice views, pitches spacious and well marked out.
Security good.

Electrical costly but four days of very cold weather.

My partner and I just got back from a two night stay . It was our first time here, we were made to feel very welcome . Lovely pitch in the adults only area. Nice site , will be returning at some point , thoroughly enjoyed it .

Badly advertised nothing like the pictures payed for electrical hook up at to pay extra for electricity they only put 5 pound on went few the nite we wos bloody freezing never go there again shithole

Site was clean as were the facilities. Welcomed on arrival. Very quiet in the adult area. We stayed for 1 night for New Year.

We are experienced campervanners who usually wildcamp or stay on very basic sites, often without any facilities at all. We chose to spend more to stay at Robin Hood Retreat as a treat for the half term, but soon wished we hadn't.

Most pitches are occupied by long term/permanent residents who gathered until the early hours, making so much noise it was difficult to sleep. The owners neighbour the gathering and did nothing to enforce the quiet hours of 10pm to 8am. The site has a weird and unnerving atmosphere and, although the owners were helpful at check in, we felt like unwelcome intruders. All of the above meant we were not comfortable in raising our concerns with the owners, and doubt anything would have changed even if we had.

We originally booked 3 nights but left after 1. Had we arrived earlier than the kids bedtime, we would've turned around before checking in.

Save yourself the stress and money, book somewhere else!

Not enough information at the site, had to find things ourselves. Doors in womens showers did not close properly.
