Perfect place to stay

We spent the week camping here in a large family group of mixed ages between 1 & 65.
The site was large and spacious which allowed us to all pitch together and create a social space between our tents.
The site was spotless, the facilities are basic but were always clean with hot water in the showers and toilets well stocked with loo roll!
The owners were friendly, helpful and very welcoming.
We hired a firepit for the week and brought top up logs which was great for keeping warm and toasting marshmallows. The firepit was a washing machine drum which worked well and the fire was easily started and the wood was well seasoned.
There is a noise curfew after 11pm and before 7am. During our stay there was a lovely atmosphere of groups chatting, listening to music at an acceptable level and children playing. When one group were a little noisy after 11 this was quickly dealt with by the owners.
We paid for the late check out which worked well as we were a large group and after a week of camping had lots of sorting to do. The flexibility of the site worked well and this was a real bonus.
The campsite is in a great location for a peaceful break and close to lots of places to visit. The location of the campsite as with many areas in Dorset does mean phone signal and Internet can be patchy. I had full signal and 4g at the campsite with Tesco mobile however others in our party had nothing. If you want a campsite with access to technology this may not be the site for you.

We arrived to early for our pitch but we wasn't turned away we was welcome with huge smile given show around explaining where all faculty are water loos ect

Everything was spotless there was loo roll 😁 which I was happy about as I forgot pack loo roll

Faculty was great plenty of hot water sinks where spotless

If needed any help staff was always happy to help out as well give you point of interest in the local area

You never get hassled you was left alone to enjoy relaxing atmosphere this is great 👌 I also loved watching stars

Countryside walks are charming so happy I choose this camp to site i will be coming back at some point

The hosts at Primrose fields were very approachable and friendly, happy to chat and offer knowledge of the area.
We loved the space and the areas of forest.
Would definitely stay here again.

The woodland adjacent to the camp site is great. The stars are amazing at night and it is quiet after 11pm. You can rent a fire pit and everything is very reasonably priced. The showers are great.

No shade on the field, lots of insects due to the woods nearby. Dogs allowed, not all dog owners are considerate.
