The setting, it was a really small, yet really spacious site. There was only 2 tent pitches in a clearing in the wood that also had a couple of bell tents and a couple of glamping pods. This was all arranged around a circle of wildflowers and grasses, so you weren’t over-looking each other. No cars were allowed past the car park, which did mean that you needed to transport your things with wheelbarrows - but I loved this as it meant that the site was very quiet and felt more remote - this was a plus from me!

The toilets were clean and the shower was much better than a shower in the middle of a field has a right to be. Ideal.

The kids loved the ability to roam and I loved that they weren’t far. We all liked camping under the trees and having a camp fire of an evening.

I’ve come away with lots of big insect bites - not much can be done about this from the owners perspective - you are camping in a wood after all! However some strong insect repellent would be recommended for folk looking to book.

Absolutely loved the bell tent we stayed in. Picked a great weekend and the family next door were lovely and the kids played together really well. Shower block was new and nice and clean and the location is really idyllic, although I needed the pinned location on apple maps to find it with it being so remote but Caroline was really helpful when I struggled to find it. There was a little campfire in front of each tent too so we had toasted marshmallows. It was everything you'd want from a glamping holiday.

I didn't realise too the camp is only half an hour from skegness so we can had a great afternoon at the beach and the fair during our stay.

We'll absolutely be back. Loved every minute of our stay.

You do need the pinned location as well as the postcode as finding it was a bit tricky especially we had to set off in the dark.
