The campsite was very well kept. The children (10 years) enjoyed the playground and the large areas when the tents weren’t there to play too. The shop was very handy - especially when we run out of gas for the cooker. The fridge, and washing up facilities were very good. The location was good for us to explore the local area, we were out everyday.
The pizza wagon was very tasty and made a change to pasta!

Lovely views, peaceful, easy check in, friendly staff and plenty to do for the kids. Really happy with the facilities too. Highly recommend and will be staying again

It would be nice if the pizza van was open every evening instead of just Fridays and Saturdays

Clean. Well organised. Easy to find. Toilets and showers were clean. Nice little shop.
Used this site last year too when visiting the Cromford Steam Rally. Will use again.

The views, it was nice and flat, the staff were all friendly, onsite park for the kids.

The wasps! At least half our party was stung (4 families) plus 2 pets were stung. If it wasn't for the wasps the weekend would have been a solid 10/10

Great wash up & fridge/freezer facilities. Staff were helpful & friendly.
Lovely pizza, overall a great site.

Showers were cold. Bathroom ran out of hand soap. Was expensive for us all to shower.

Fantastic campsite with well-stocked shop, lovely staff and a fab kids’ playground. Very close to Matlock Bath with tonnes of activities to enjoy. We’d like to return on a weekend to experience the pizza van and pub!

Highly recommend this campsite, stayed here x3 times, with kids & extended family.
We were a large group with x5 pitches.
Clean toilets & shower block. Large washing up area with fridge/freezer.
Kids loved the park, kept themselves entertained. Staff are very friendly, let us do a late check out with no extra charge, which meant we weren’t rushing with breakfast & packing, what a difference that made. Beautiful scenery from our tent.

Lots of wasps.

It was our very first time camping and middlehills had been recommended by friends. We stayed one night and were lucky with the weather. Check in was easy, and the field was well kept. We have 2 children ages 8 and 3. The play park was ideal for both of them. The onsite shop was small but had a bit of everything you need. There is a fridge and freezer in the pot washing area to keep any food. We had pizzas from the pizza van on the Saturday night. Although they don’t stock gluten free they were more than accommodating to cook me a pizza on the base I provided. Our girls loved seeing all the animals in the surrounding fields - pig, chickens, pony, sheep. It’s a quiet spot, no traffic noise and the site itself was quiet. Everyone was just having a great time with their families. Staff were maintaining toilets and showers on the Sunday morning.
As a non camper middlehills farm was a perfect start and we will definately return. Thank you for our stay.

The site had all facilities to make the stay easier. Fridge, Freezer, Toilets, Bathroom, Drinking water, Kids play area, Shop, Pizza van etc.

The pitch was slightly sloppy so it was difficult to sleep inside the tent

Lovely site, pizza van was an added bonus, it also meant that it was one less meal we needed to prepare for. Facilities were well maintained with good availability. Staff very friendly, welcoming and helpful
