The view from the top field and being able to choose your own space

Friendly, clean well looked after. The fields were mown and well maintained. Nice little shop. Barbecues and fire pits allowed.

Can get quite busy.

Absolutely perfect for family’s,great facilities which were clean and well maintained.great play area that felt safe and friendly.nice little shop with most things you could require.the 2 pigs and chickens were a highlight.would highly recommend here and we will be back.

Plenty of space for children to play freely. Massive area for pitching without constraints.
Clean facilities always available even though it was a busy bank holiday.
Lady in the shop was lovely and chatting.

Nothing to dislike, good basic site with clean facilities and lots of space for play and socializing.

Clean fields, polite staff, shop, toilet well maintained.

Quarry noise. I know this is out of your control haha!

One moaning camper next to us asking us to turn our already quiet music at 3pm...due to her having a headache! 🫣 But no negatives to the actual site itself. WiFi signal kept dipping out.

Loud music from neighbouring field lasting into the early hours of the morning.
Quite busy/ packed together.

Our first time staying at middlehills farm campsite and was not disappointed.
• From arrival to departure the staff were so friendly and helpful.

•The toilets and shower facilities were very clean with regular cleaning throughout the day. There was also a fridge/ freezer on site which is a nice idea, we didn’t use this though.

•The park for the children is great and was lovely to see all the children loving it.

• The on-site shop was fully stocked, with local sourced options. With bits of everything you could need, we particularly enjoyed hiring the fire pits where they also sell starter fire packs, this was a lovely experience for us/my daughter who says this was her favourite part about her weekend! The food van that came was a nice touch with an ice cream van also visiting! Local shops are only a 10 minute drive away too.

• We stayed without an EHU and we enjoyed being able to pick our own spot! And despite being busy there was plenty of spaces.

• Very dog friendly, we took our 3 dogs with us who were happily welcomed.

• We visited Ladybower reservoir and Derwent Dam - 1 hour from the campsite and Dovedale stepping stones and Ilam country park- just 25 minutes from the campsite.

• Amazing views with local farm animals, including cows, sheep, horses and the on-site pigs and chickens! Who are very friendly and enjoy all the attention they get.

Nothing we didn’t personally like..

On friday night into Saturday , you could noticeably hear the Quarry working. This didn’t bother us but I could understand it may bother some people.
