Site is well-situated on the edge of the Lakes with easy access to pretty much anywhere. The pitches are generously sized and there are plenty of taps around the site that offer fresh drinking water. As a working farm, the odd chicken was also happy to pop by and say hello, along with the local peacock.

Only real negative is that there aren't a great number of places to wash up for the number of people that you can have on-site so you can't always get to a sink. Our pitch also had a few uneven bits which meant you would occasionally step in a shallow hole.

Amazing gem of a place. Fab location, easy to get to different locations around chmbria and around 20 minutes from Keswick.

The riverside pitch was fantastic, the perfect backdrop for a few days of peace and quiet.

The views from the main pitch were spectacular, could have happily stayed there for days.

We were a little late for check in due to traffic but a quick call to staff and it was no problem. A nicd bonus to have the fire pit and logs available on site.

The site had everything you need, including a communal area with fridge/freezer, toaster kettle etc. Plugs to quickly charge devices.

Everything! Especially playground; communal room with kettles and fridges and freezers; location; pub 10 min walk; family atmosphere; good little shop; hills all around.

Didn’t bother us much, but there is some road noise from nearby A road (on the other hand, it makes it easy to get to!)
