- Handy to have a campsite relatively close to the centre of Sedbergh.
- Found a nice flat pitch for my tent.

- No one to “check in” with when we arrived. Just turn up and pitch up. Which is fine, but it wasn’t clear where facilities were on the site (more on that later). Anyone could have turned up and camped without paying.
- It wasn’t clear if cars could/should drive onto the field to park. As such, some vans drove on the field and got stuck in the mud and required campers to push it out. A majority of the field was therefore turned up and boggy. There was some parking available on gravel but absolutely not enough for everyone camping.
- Showers only available during set times. I booked an extra night at the campsite to use the shower after a race but wasn’t able to use them since they opened later in the afternoon. Additionally paying £3 on top of the pitching fee is unacceptable in my opinion.
- Rubbish disposal was just a skip. There must have been weeks worth of campers’ rubbish piled in there. Surely couldn’t be hygienic after a while. Worried this could became a magnet for vermin.
- Portaloos didn’t have sufficient toilet roll and sanitiser.
- No location to dispose of dirty water (eg after washing up). I was encouraged to empty the water next to the tap, which was next to the portaloo.
- Overall, this campsite has promise to be good but currently stands as a an opportunity for the farmer to make an easy income without much effort going into it.

Great views and large fields, close to sedbergh to walk. It had rained and a few people had got stuck but the farmer was on hand to pull the cars & Van's out

Not dislike exactly but on arrival there was no clear instructions on where to pitch etc. Asked a fellow camper. We stayed on a Saturday & only got the welcome email as we were leaving on the sunday. The only portaloo in the field wasn't cleaned while we were there. Think £25 is too expensive

Nice location.

Not enough toilet facilities or hand washing. Main toilet block was not open all day/eve.

Very family friendly, love the farm feeling and involvement with the animals.
The Barn is a great place, nice little bar and food looked decent.

Very muddy and difficult to drive through the fields, however there was a tractor on standby.

Awful site management and dirty. Completely not as described in their brochure. No sign of toilet cleaning (it said twice a day) they were disgusting. 1 portaloo per field (it said 1 per 10 campers). Shower was £3 extra and was a wooden box with 4 hooks to keep your things from getting wet.

Fantastic stay!. Kids loved being able to feed the animals on the farm, and with the bonus of having a bar in the barn for the adults 😁.

Animals on site. Friendliness of the staff. The fact it was a working farm so could watch the tractors etc.. you could choose where you wanted to pitch. Barn offering drinks (including alcohol) and basic cooked food. Fires were allowed. Staff would drop you for free into local village (we didn't use this as only stayed one night.

Portaloo toilets, only one per site. Small toilet block quite a walk from pitch. Chemical disposal quite difficult to use.

The staff are so welcoming and amazing with the children. They put so much effort into showing the children the animals every morning and explaining about them. My kids had the best weekend feeding the cows and pigs, finding the horses in the woods and playing on the hay bales.

On paper this site reads amazing!
But the downside is, it just doesn’t live up to what it says.
1 portaloo per 10 campers. It was one portaloo per field. We had at least 12 tents on our field And the loo was horrendous (maybe just bad timing)
The main loos near the barn closed at 10am until 4pm, so between those times you had jo choice but to use the overflowed portaloo and there was nowhere to wash your hands. This was our biggest dislike.
The food advertises that it’s on until 10.30pm so we purposely made no plans for food on the Saturday evening but when we walked down at 8.30 food had stopped. So it was crisp all round.
Fire wood £10 aprox 12 logs.
We received our welcome pack at 10.30am the day we were leaving which states fire wood can be purchased on site for £8.
Although the kids had the best weekend we just felt the site could have been one of the best we had visited if it lived up to its descriptions online.
We won’t be visiting again, purely down to the toilet situation.
We highlighted our frustration at the toilet situation but was told it was all on the website 🤷‍♀️

2nd time we have visited farm and fell and loved both times equally as much. Secluded area perfect for us and our dogs, plenty of space and nice and quiet. Portaloo nearby and other toilets in close range. Lovely views of the river near by and lovely horses and animals to watch in the fields. Very reasonably priced also which makes it worth it whatever the weather
