Friendly, easy to get to, clean and lots of space. Good working eco facilities with easy access to drinking water etc.

I liked the concept of the 'Green' and environmentally friendly site. Which is well run and caters to the basic needs you have. I lived listening to the Owls at 10.00 pm, 2.30 am, and again as dawn emerged.
Overall a lovely stay despite being away most of the days I was there.

Nothing to dislike.

The beautiful, private tent pitches and the peace and quiet. A real camping in nature experience. The owl that lives in a tree on site was a wonderful sight to see swooping over our heads at dusk while we were lying back enjoying the nature around us.
The shower was amazing. A hut with a hot gas shower inside.

Lovely clean warm shower in rustic hut, great pub (The Five Bells in Rattlesden) a pleasant short off-road walk away (ask the owners for instructions), easy communication, good level spacious pitch and a whole field to ourselves!

The motorhome field is directly next to the road, but it is a fairly quiet road and traffic very very low at nighttime (I didn’t hear anything all night)

Everything. Laura could not have been more friendly and welcoming. Gave us lots of ideas for places to visit and walk our dogs, including directly from the site which is always a bonus. Beautiful, private and well placed pitches. Incredibly clean and thoughtfully located toilets. Shower, water and recycling bins easily accessible in main field. Looking forward to visiting again.

the hut was very well equipped, spacious and clean and the site facilities were well maintained. it was an easy walk into the village with 2 pubs and a shop.

Really nice minimalist campingsite. Loved the look and feel. The pitches are so well spread with tall grass, bushes, and trees in between that you feel like you have the place to yourself. There is a country road that runs alongside but apart from a few cyclists and the odd car during the day, you wouldn't notice it. The facilities were exactly what you'd expect from this type of site, more than adequate and excellently kept. We were told that there were a couple of good village pubs within walking distance but as we arrived late in the afternoon and were only going to be there for one night, we preferred to enjoy the camp instead.

Felt a bit shortchanged on the bag of firewood for a fiver, which turned out to be just over half a bag of mainly kindling and a few logs that probably wouldn't have lasted more than an hour or so. However, it didn't feel like it was intensionally done, maybe it was just the last bag standing that unfortunately happened to be left a bit light. Happily, though, we found a huge log in the undergrowth beside the pitch, which although may have looked a bit ridiculous at first, lasted us most of the evening.

All in all, I'd highly recommend the Barn Owl Campsite to anybody looking for a bit of tucked-away seclusion and back-to-basics camping. If not, they also have a few shepherd huts if you fancied a bit more comfort.

Very maintain the area with friendly staff very helpful inside and outside the cabin was not only clean and tidy but lots of facilities already set up that you can use straight away a fantastic idea when you arrive late like I did because of traffic stop the car my children get out play set up the barbecue and relax for a long drive the staff themselves are not only friendly but very helpful more than happy for you to ask as many questions as you like a fantastic place to stay and would recommend to anyone

Sense of freedom,this is what camping is all about

Same as always no near pub but that's not the fault of the site..take a few beers in a cool box,plenty of food and enjoy the peace whilst swinging in a hammock(provided)

Beautiful campsite set in a meadow surrounded by trees and open fields. Villages close by, some great walks from the campsite. Lovely quiet pitches makes you feel like your the only ones there. Has everything I could want from a campsite, clean toilets, a hot shower, washing up facilities. Views. Dog friendly. The owner was lovely and welcoming, super helpful.
