We stayed in a log cabin (pod) upon arrival I liked the location, the space outside the pod was good as there was a little patch next to the pod to set up some table and chairs or play bat and ball with the kids.
The entertainment I personally thought was great, so much going on especially in the evening. The entertainment staff were great at keeping everyone going and interacting with the kids. They even put on a medley show of great songs with a rehearsed dance aswell and it was so good! Bingo was really fun and I won on the first night which I was super surprised about as I never win anything. In the entertainement area they also have a pool and darts room upstairs where no under 18s can go.

I also liked the soft play area as it kept my two children entertained for a few hours aged 2 & 6

I also liked the outdoor play areas for the kids, the outside grounds were kept well and maintained.

I will definitely be back next year as I really liked this holiday place, staff and facilities but next time I’ll stay in the caravan.

After reading the reviews I thought omg I’m gonna chance it! To be honest it really wasn’t that bad, the main thing I’d say is the sink area defo needs some attention because you can tell it doesn’t get cleaned as there is a lot of cob webs and spiders nesting around it. The showers and toilets area were pretty much ok and not as bad as I was expecting.

My Pod- I didn’t like the fact that my pod was not cleaned prior to my arrival or if it was it wasn’t done very well as the floors were dusty, cob webs across the ceiling and a huge cob web down the side of the bunk bed. I wiped my finger across the side bar of the bunk bed and my finger was thick of dust.
I also didn’t find the bed very comfortable at all which might just be my preference ⬅️(this made my decision to leave a day early) as it gave me a bad back.
They could also do with a vent or air con in the pod as it was really really hot at night

Other then that the pod was cute cosy and I would of enjoyed it if they had a comfy bed. Maybe if you intend on going bring a mattress topper to make it more comfy.

Food- I would definitely agree with the other reviews that it is over priced and the quality ain’t that great. I paid £2.50 for toast and jam then was handed a plate with two very thin slices of the cheapest bread you can buy and had to toast it myself, the jam was just the tiny little square packets that you get in a hotel.
The sausage and egg roll was dry and not worth the £5

Kids entertainment- I would suggest that they hand out little sweets or something to all the children after playing games etc rather than just dishing out only two certificates to the best dancer and the best person in musical statues because after all the kids danced so hard and did their best it was sad to see so many left out at the end and only 2 picked I thought that was a little unfair.

Arcade- a lot wasn’t working in there

We loved the camping pod and the surroundings. The pod was clean and neat. The area was clean, with plenty of bins for us to use. The kids also loved the rides at the carnival. The booking process was simple and our time at the pool was perfect. The life guards were diligent and the pool was clean. We had a blast!

The toilets were absolutely atrocious. Menstrual blood and faeces blocked most of the toilets every time I visited the ablutions. The sinks were also filthy, with the same clump of hair in the corner 2 consecutive mornings.

They were under staffed and at times it was very noticeable

Camping pod, activities for children and location-walking distance to seaside.

Toilets and shower block require upgrades and cleanliness can be an issue on a busy day. For example main restaurant opens for breakfast at 10am on Sunday, however toilets are still trashed from the night before.

Bar staff can't be asked to cut some limes for tequila with an excuse that it is too busy ;)

The sand playground was lovely. Enjoyed the entertainment. Staff was very helpful. The holiday park is right next to the coast to swim or sunbathe. Also close to town centre.

Shower/toilet/washing up facilities need updating. Activities to book online not linked to the main website of Dovercourt holiday park so we missed out as the climbing wall session had already started. WiFi not included in the price of huts.

We are still so impressed with the pods we stayed it! £35 per night is such a brilliant price! The pods were clean, the shower and toilet facilities were close and very clean. Our mini birthday was amazing and couldn’t be happier with the pods and park:

Prices at the bar and restaurant! We brought a curry, a burger and chips, 2 jägers and 2 cocktails and it cost £68.70!!
I also thought we got free basic Wi-Fi in our package but our Wi-Fi code wouldn’t work.. we were not going to spend £7 a day on it
