Located a few miles from the Elan valley and not too far from the Brecon beacons it's a great base for exploring the area. I have stayed in the shepherds hut twice and though basic it has everything you need and the separate bathroom is a nice touch. The owners are friendly but not intrusive and with no WiFi it's the ideal place to switch off for a few days.
