Well kept small site. Handy for our journey break from Scotland to Midlands. Very quiet. Opposite The Fox Pub ( only open Friday to Sundays). Sign telling you to "Ring Sid on arrival". Sid gave directions where to pitch. (Has anyone ever seen Sid ;-). ......?
5 apparent season let unoccupied vans on site but plenty of other pitches. We never checked out the loos etc but they were just behind the pub. Recommended for journey break.

Flat pitch sites. Listening to the wildlife - not just farm animals but also the owls and other birds.
Excellent pub across the road. Owners were very friendly, not just running the site, but the pub as well.

Crossing the road to the toilet block. Would there be enough toilets etc when the camp is busy.

This site is in a very convenient location on the trip down south from Scotland (or up north for that matter), just off the M6. Very easy to book, pitch up and connect to electrics etc. Pitches are big and well tended and the owner responded quickly to texts/calls.Toilets and showers (2 of each) are across the road, but it's a very short walk. The facilities were clean and warm (this was a very cold February night!). Best of all, if you stay Friday to Sunday there is a great pub over the road which serves meals. Unfortunately, we didn't stay at a weekend so we can't review the food, but we were able to get a drink in the pub, which is a freehouse, and the menu looked great. A very nice, small, quiet site.

Loved that it is a quiet relaxed site, in a small village with superb views of either the Lake District or the Pennines.
It was good value, toilet and shower clean.
Ideally located for cycling in the much overlooked Eden valley.
Local pub directly opposite site entrance.

Lovely quiet site. The pub was open one of the evenings which was great. Site was clean and facilities were good

Basic site with clean facilities, good pub across the road with entertainment for New Year’s Eve.

Very quiet and peaceful little camping.

The toilet block was across the road behind the pub. Never cleaned during my stay.
