Sat nav took us straight there, was a bit confused as to which entrance as there’s an A and B which when towing you don’t want to have to back up, however a lovely lady came out and told us where we need to be so no problem.

Central location for Helmsley, Pickering, Thornton le Dale and Goathland area.

Pitches where very close. We didn’t put up an Awning but wouldn’t have fitted anyway as a tent so close next to us.
There where only 2 showers and 2 toilets for ladies and 2 for men. It was pro dominantly tents and there where a few of them so not sure if this would become an issue. We can’t use our shower so was getting up at 6 to make sure we could get a shower on site. The showers where very, very clean when we used them.

Very noisy on a night (not owners fault)
Dogs barking (close by not dogs on the site)

The rural setting, spent a while watching the harvest.
Really liked the local pub.
Easy access to bus route to local town one way and Scarborough the other.

Local footpath was VERY overgrown

Views are great, well kept pitches, easy bus access to Helmsley, Scarborough etc

Noise from farm, harvesting season, cutting down trees and constant smell of manure. Shared showers in a portacabin.

Fabulous Indian restaurant nearby, and a good pub.

Very basic site toilets and showers average.
I suspect dog kennels could have been nearby as loud barking early morning and late evening.

Lovely little site. Owner was fantastic and explained everything & was more than happy to answer questions. Toilets were always immaculate. There’s a little information hut too with lots of information.

Not the owners fault, but there must be some sort of kennels nearby, or someone with a lot of dogs. They barked constantly.

Booking the site was very user friendly and easy to process. Liked the approachable and friendly greeting from the staff and the site was well kept.

This is a lovely site, and very welcoming host.

Field is well looked after, Toilets close by and cleaned daily.

This was our first camping trip with the kids, when we arrived the site was unmanned but clear instructions were left for us so we got set up straight away, as soon as owner was back she came and checked on us and made sure we had everything we needed. The site is basic but provided everything needed, plenty of room for the kids to play without worrying about them bothering anyone.

There is a nice pub within close walking distance which does great food, and shops in close by villages.

We used the site as a base to go visiting and were within easy reach of York, Scarbourgh, Whitby etc

We will definitely be back next year and already planning our trip.

Would definitely recommend this site to other.
