Staff were very friendly and helpful. Check in was easy and even added a extra dog who came last minute. Easy to navigate with beautiful views of the lake and castle howard. Plenty of places to walk the dogs. My child was able to go to toilets/showers on his own as they were in eye view, one of the nicest camp sites we have stayed at. Whole family including 5 adults 1 child and two dogs enjoyed our stay. Would definitely stay again

Thursday, Friday were not bad but it got Very busy Saturday and only 5 women toilets/showers on the whole camp meaning people were queuing out the toilets and washing up room.
Showers were very hot, one night the children couldn’t use them (no temp gage)

Although at first it appeared to be far away from local stores such as Morrisons, enough time spend here makes you realise you don't need modern day. Because it's nice to just sit in awe of how quiet and calm it is there. It was our first camping holiday with our lovely 10 month old son who I'm certain will be on many more with us in the future ! The toilets were well kept and tidy, and the upkeep of the camp itself even better. There was no allocated pitching which gave us as a family the ability to gather in a circle and made for lovely conversations round the campfire and even better, melted marshmallows !
We will definitely be coming back here for visit number 2.
PS: definitely visit the castle which is only a 20 minute walk from the site. It is gorgeous !
