I would love to give this site 1 star to stop the site becoming more popular but I just can't.
The owners where fantastic and friendly, the site cafe was brilliant.
Some of the site is on a slope but this is the price you pay for stunning views across the valley.
The unisex toilet and shower were very clean and warm.
Coming from central Cardiff it was fantastic to to hear and see the farm animals rather than sirens and flashing lights

porta loos, would have prefered composting toilets as porta loos are very hard to keep clean and tidy

We had an absolutely wonderful stay here!
- Beautiful scenery and fantastic views from our pitch
- Friendly, helpful hosts who even ran a lovely little cafe on site. They also did great looking meals, although we had brought a BBQ to cook ourselves so didn't try it
- Extremely well kept site, with lovely modern bathroom and shower room, with heated floors!
- Beautiful, friendly dogs that we got to play with

Overall our stay was amazing and we would definitely recommend this place, and stay again!

Very nice place to camp,the host Melanie and Aaron were both super kind. We had a great stay and definitely coming back and recommend the place. Hope the additional toilets and showers where finished by then.

Nothing to dislike the place and surrounding views are awesome.

Loved the whole site! The camp site was perfect with a fantastic view all around. Lived that it wasn’t too big so was lovely and quiet. The shower was amazing, underfloor heating was such a lovely addition it made it so much nicer for us not getting cold. Can’t fault this place.

Beautiful , fantastic place . The views are spectacular . The camp is so peaceful . The owners Mel and Aaron are wonderful hosts . Go above and beyond . Work soo very hard . Absolutely love it there it’s a dream place to stay and l live . My grand children had a fantastic time with the animals, alpacas are gorgeous. Mel and Aaron were so kind and patient with the children they can’t wait to go back again .

Mel & Aaron were fantastic hosts, super helpful and friendly. The views from the campsite were beautiful and on a clear night you can see every star in the sky! Shower and toilet facilities although small, were excellent - heated floors were a huge bonus! Loved being surrounded by all the farm animals; Alpacas, sheep, lambs, chickens, cows and their lovely pet sheepdogs! Even the 6am cock-a-doodle-do wake up call was great! We hired a firepit (£2.50) and also had takeaway pizza from the cafe which was delicious! Perfect base for exploring Brecon Beacons, lots of walks and waterfalls nearby. Also a perfect base for doing absolutely nothing!

Although it didn’t affect us personally as we were the only people camping I think this site would benefit from having some of the land levelled out, I imagine if there are lots of tents it could be a struggle to find a flat pitch!

By far the best campsite we have ever stayed! The hosts and their daughters were really friendly and helpful, and gave us advice on local areas to go. They also showed us around the barns where they kept newborn lambs. Lots of animals on site, which we loved.

Theres portaloos and a bathroom on site (kept really clean, with heated floors and heated towel rack). The on-site cafe was also great. We ordered hot chocolates and pizzas (initially 1 pizza but it was so tasty we ordered another). Aaron delivered it to our tent, which was a bonus.

The views from the campsite were beautiful. The campsite was quiet, peaceful, and has a great view of the stars at night.

It’s also a 10 min walk to a local pub called the Penycae Inn - very reasonably priced and runs an animal rescue farm which is free to enter. Loads of waterfalls and nature walks near the campsite too. A perfect place to stay and explore.
