I've been to Ashbourne Woods to hammock camp, stay in a tent and this time came with my partner and our dogs to stay in one of the microlodges, and we absolutely loved it.

The cabin was warm and clean, the bench outside was a nice touch, and the fire pit was a very welcome chillout area in the evenings.

The showers/toilet was close by and the washing up are was kept clean and tidy at all times.

On day 2 we needed to get a few bits from the shop, which is stocked with all the bare necessities you could think of, altough a garage is literally only a 3min drive away and a 1000 year old pub is less than a mile down the road.

Absolutely nothing!

Be prepared for pine needles in many places! Bring a brush!

Very nice, peaceful, leafy campsite deep in the Devon countryside. I loved being surrounded by trees, the private fuel of the pitches and the lovely walk to the village. A top place to stay.

The push-tap showers didn't have great water pressure and also turned off very swiftly so I had to press multiple times to have a pretty short shower, but this was a minor gripe.

The stay here was incredible and very peaceful. Myself and my son parked the camper in the camper section which was nestled in amongst the forest. Each camper section was segregated off from each other with grass bunds for privacy. The area was surrounded by a beautiful large forest. The amenities were great with a small shop, seating areas, washing up stations and a clean and well equipped shower and toilet block with hot water and good water pressure!

Overall we enjoyed our stay and will return again.

When it rains you can get very muddy

So glad that there was a log style cabin 'Hansel' available to rent after I had put our tent up in the pouring rain and I thought to myself this is going to be miserable! In the end we had a lovely cosy 2 nights with our doggo too and loved hearing the rain on the roof. Great walks on Dartmoor nearby and a really fantastic cosy pub with delicious food 'The Church House Inn' a lovely stroll through the woods. Clean showers, and well stocked shop for basics and delicious local cider. Likely we'll be back in warmer weather and with a better tent! Thank you :)

Lovely place to camp, good base to explore. Great undercover area for people to eat together if they wanted. Great that you can use toaster kettle, fridge and freezer

Toilets are not the best but better than not having a toilet like some toilets
