Great set up with lots of space to pitch up. Toilets and showers were excellent. My son loved that it was a horse box, and the old tractor in the shed next door.

We had a great time at 5 Acres. The pitches are generous sizes and there is plenty of room for children to run around in the centre of the field without disturbing other campers. Each pitch has a firepit which we made great use of for campfires and for cooking most meals (we took our own grate, they're not provided). We had an electric pitch, and on that side of the field at least, we had a sink for each pitch which is quite a luxury! The toilet and shower facilities were really cool, having been built into an old horse box. They were really much posher than it sounds! Showers were hot and everything was clean and very well maintained. The owner, Theo, lives right next to the site and was very friendly. Although there is no formal reception, arrival instructions were clear and he was on hand to answer text messages and deliver fire wood etc. He did the rounds most evenings to welcome any new campers and check that everyone was happy. We stayed 5 nights and could have stayed longer. This site is perfect for anyone who prefers a slightly more basic set up i.e no shop, playground or WiFi and likes to just enjoy the peace and nature. Yeovil, Taunton and the north and south coast are all in easy reach so there is plenty to do.

It's a minor gripe that there is no hot running water on site (apart from what come out of the showers), but having an electric pitch meant we had a kettle so we boiled water for washing up. This really is a very minor drawback that wouldn't stop me coming again.

Arrived late but the guys still sorted me out with logs for the fire.

The showers are the best I’ve used whilst motorcycle camping in the UK.

Well kept site, owner very friendly and came over to introduce himself. Toilets and showers are modern and clean, don't judge the horsebox by its exterior. The site offers firewood, lighters and marshmallows at a small cost. There are sinks dotted around so that you don't have to walk far for drinking water or to wash up.

Not crowded at all (only about 10 pitches in total)

Very basic although younger kids content enough running around in the grass.
No room for ball games really.
No light in toilets (3 unisex ones).

The place was Amazing. The owner could not do enough to help and make myself and my wife feel at home. Fire wood and fresh eggs brought to our door.

Nice and quiet. Owner met us with a warm and friendly welcome and explained the facilities. I was apprehensive about the toilets and showers being in an old horse box lorry , however, it was fantastic conversion, and both the toilets and showers were kept clean. Pitch was pre allocated but all the pitches were level so no leveling blocks required. A good camp site as a base for visting other areas if you dont mind driving / touring or just relaxing. We travelled out to Glastonbury and Burnham On Sea on our two night stay. Found some small local pubs dotted around like The bell and had a nice meal at The Firehouse, but you really need to book a table as they were very busy. Would stay again and would recommend.

The size of the pitch, very generous, access to a fire pit. The uniqueness of it.

The slope into and out of the horse box toilets, think steps would be a better option or a handle all the way down.
