We are sorry that you thought that your pitch was rubbish. During August we are a sold-out site with only a hand full of 1night gaps available to book at last minute. Most of our pitches including pitch 2 have been booked out since last summer. Pitch 2 is regularly requested by return customers due to its large size. Booking in advance means that you would have been able to call us and discuss where on site you would like to stay. We would love for you to comeback and try another pitch away from the country lane.
The electric cut out at 10.30pm due to another guest’s electrics tripping the fuse. We are a quiet after 10pm site so everyone else was asleep. As we have not encountered this problem before, it was quite difficult to locate the source quickly without waking everyone up. Fortunately, we were able to get the electric back on without disturbing anyone else.
The Wifi is £10 for a week and £5 for 3nights. Unfortunately, Pitch Up does not give an option to display the prices.

Helen, thank you for taking the time to post a review. We are glad that you found the park location to be favourable. The vacation dates that you booked at the end of July, beginning of August are peak season for holidaying in this lovely county. Comments from other guests/reviewers who stayed at this time use terminology such as ‘beautifully clean’ or ‘spotless’. We are a little perplexed that you found the complex dirty. If this was the case, we could’ve dealt with it immediately if you were not satisfied with the standard of the facilities. This is always our preferred option rather than reading about an issue on a review without having the opportunity to address it at the time.
There was a complication in the ladies’ shower area causing a small flood. The situation was handled straightway by multiple staff members, with an aim to cause as little disruption as possible, solving the problem swiftly, whilst staying operational. At no point were toilets closed.
On Tuesday 1st July Wheal Rodney Holiday Park was fully inspected by a Licensing Compliance Officer - Public Protection from Cornwall Council. We passed the inspection and are compliant with fire regulations!
With Health & Safety at the forefront of our operations, after looking through our vast supplies, we did not have an appropriate rubber based step available at the time of your request.
While there’s no dedicated play area for children, the atmosphere is welcoming for families. Our lovely warm indoor pool is a big attraction, and with beaches and play parks just a short walk away, fun is on our doorstep!
