The campsite was well maintained, surrounded by beautiful scenery in a quiet location.

The facilities were close by and high quality, heated in the evenings. The owners were away, but their father was attentive and helpful. The kids enjoyed free rein and making friends with the owners children too.

Sadly, due to the owners being away all the outdoor activities, crafting, shop and more; that had drawn us to the campsite, were not running. This put a dampener on the stay, as the children were looking forward to certain activities. The laundry facilities were also closed, therefore we cannot comment on their quality.

There was dog poo left on our pitch from previous campers, which we had to clear up.

Owner seemed nice and clean and tidy site , some nice views of the surrounding hills .

Small site and Very noisy main road literally right next to the campsite , lack of sleep due to road noise . Half the amenities not working , ie no hot water and an extra 50 pence for a short shower !

Small quirky campsite

Peaceful, scenic location. The campsite was clean and pitches were well spaced out. Facilities were accessible and suited our needs.Fresh bread in the morning was a tasty bonus.

No stool in the shower so bit tricky to get dressed with a wet floor. However this was discussed with the owner and was welcome feedback.

We arrived and checked the notice board for any changes to our pitch number, and were greeted with a really spacious pitch. Enough for our 6 person tent, our car and room to move around. The site was clean and the amenities were all convenient. Spent a long time waiting for the shower on our first day, until I realised there were other ones we could use. We purchased some logs and snacks from the shop using a QR code. Brilliant site, and will definitely keep on our favourites’ for a return visit.

Loved this site in general however a few things bothered us....
We were there from Monday to Friday and the toilets and showers were only cleaned once (that I could tell) in that time
The site is right next to a very busy road and the traffic noise kept us awake every night and woke us up every morning (not the fault of the site owners but worth a mention)
There is only one shower and two toilets on the site apart from 2 eco showers and 2 eco toilets (which were locked when we were there). The site wasn't full but we still had to wait for the shower and toilets a few times

Very nice site not too many pitches which was nice, clean and comfortable accommodation, and showers/ toilets. Crafting facilities and tuition was excellent, I spent 3 days with Rachael the tutor is so talented and so helpful. I would recommend to anyone wanting to take up a craft or expand on knowledge about a craft.
Beautiful surroundings, and if I’d had more time a lot of places to visit near by.

This site is fabulous, small and well looked after, lovely family own and stayed in contact ahead of the stay. Small family run marquee shop on site, easy access to walking routes and free eco showers lovely and warm. Shops runs on a honesty box or you can order online for baked goods the following day. There is also a fridge with cans, chocolate and sweets as well as wood buckets for the fire pits and s’mores. One of the nicest campsites I’ve been too

There’s was an issue with hot water but this was the same with the house, only meant washing up or hand washing was in the cold water. Showers are electric so these were not affected. They currently have a beehive that needs extracting so if anyone is allergic please check before booking. Again this is not their fault and the bees didn’t cause any issues just something that needs dealing with.
