Fabulous venue!
The venue was clean, everyone was friendly.
The shop was useful for the odd bits that we forgotten like sponges ect.
The bar and food area was fabulous. It was family friendly and perfect for all ages. The goats and birds area was a lovely added extra. Our little lady enjoyed feeding the goats every morning. Also the playground was lovely too.

First time here but definitely won't be our last. We were greeted by very friendly staff. The facilities were clean and pitches were level. We enjoyed the burger we got for our tea and spent the evening warming ourselves by the log fires drinking very reasonably priced beer. Loved the little goats and aviary. Nice dog walk along the canal Highly recommend this gem of a place.

We had a lovely short stay here. The facilities were clean and communication good. We even managed to get pizza delivered to the gate!

A lovely quiet clean site. Good facilities. Easy to find and 2 big fields. Loved the goats! A playground for children and a bar in season. We stayed in our Caddy with a conversion kit. Mid October but lovely and cosy

We really enjoyed our stay here. It was great that we could pitch up wherever we liked, and all the pitches were level, which makes putting up a tent so much easier. The on-site shop was well stocked and reasonably priced, which was really handy.

The petting and feeding area with the goats was such a lovely touch and perfect for families or animal lovers. The showers were clean and nicely maintained, which made a big difference.

The communal seating area was great. It was quite windy during our stay, but the storm sides were put on and worked really well. There are also log burners for the colder evenings, which added a really cosy feel.

It was brilliant for the kids too. There’s a play area and two bouncy castles, close enough that you can keep an eye on them at all times while still relaxing.

Overall, a relaxed and family-friendly site with everything you need for a comfortable and enjoyable camping trip.

The staff were really helpful and the facilities were all clean despite it being the middle of the summer holidays.

Our children LOVED the goats - you can buy feed from the shops for a reasonable price. The bouncy castles were also excellent fun - separated by age to protect younger children from older more boisterous children and the staff were very good at ensuring behaviour expectations were kept to.

Lovely play area next to the bouncy castles too.

The bar and restaurant options also meant I was a great introduction to camping for relatives camping with us for the first time. Washing up station was also good.

No issues. Really well-run campsite. Would have loved breakfast options to be on for weekdays too but totally understand why they probably don't.

Only there for one night!

Genuinely a really nice place to stay. We stayed for a long weekend, some of our family were able to book in to camp for 1 night, which the manger helped us with, even able to let them set up their tents right next to ours!

Some of the previous reviews on here state that the campsite is not clean and the management are rude, we would disagree.

If you are after a clean 5* place then hotels are for you. Camping is always a bit dirty and rough, in my opinion camping is an experience and you build your kit to make it comfortable.

There is plenty to do for the kids with a bouncy castle, play park, goats to feed or fuss. A shop on site that sells basics that you may have forgotten, and food to give to the goats.

There's 2 toilet and shower blocks both basic but secure and kept well, with a washing up area just behind.

The campsite has a cafe style kitchen that serves breakfast bits, burgers, vegan burgers and pizza. All of it sounds very delicious. The campsite also has a pub style bar, we haven’t been inside as of yet, but all looks very inviting.

The owner is a very down to earth guy, we had an issue with a neighbour banging another caravan at 1am. We were awake anyway but we were worried about others being woken up. We phoned up and he was able to resolve this very quickly.

Yes, there's a train that runs by close to the main field of the site, which has been noted on the pitch up website. For us it wasn’t an issue. It’s all part of the fun. We are also both from big families so are used to all the noise. No complaints from us at all!

Take negative reviews with a pinch of salt. Everyone has their preference. We would definitely come again!
