We absolutely loved it. The bouncy castles were such fun. Kids loved going around to see the birds and goats. The shop is really good too and good value so is the food and the bar.

The site is really spacious and ideally located for stop off. The animals on the site were a great addition.
Nice walk along the canal within easy reach.

Toilet facilities were ok but not great.

Toilets were very dirty, and on the morning of our departure one of the staff went in with very foul language, slamming and banging.
We were also pitched along the side but no mention of the railway that runs just behind the fence with freight trains running all hours

So close to the trainline

Really liked the pitch size and the space it provided, along with the gravel for the car. Nice touch. Been here a year (or so) ago and noticed the covered seating that is there now is a welcome new addition. Loved everything about the site, ni e and friendly welcoming staff.

Not really a dislike but would be nice if there was more food options, especially in school hols, like waffle vans or pizza/burger vans.

Nothing really, hook locks for toilet doors leave a bit of a gap, had to hold it closed while wiping with other hand haha

Booking process was straightforward.

Pitchup provided clear listings and site information in advance — yet anything resembling basic hygiene was non-existent

Prepaying was easy — although in hindsight, regrettable.

The showers were filthy on arrival, with hair and grime clearly showing lack of proper cleaning.

The toilet block nearest our pitch was in a serious state of disrepair and barely usable.

Toilets near reception were heavily dated and emitted a strong, persistent stench.

Our pitch had visible litter on arrival, and the playground was not being cleaned regularly.

Guests two pitches away were openly smoking cannabis — completely inappropriate for a family campsite.

Parts of the site were overcrowded, with several tents crammed onto individual pitches.

A noisy train line runs very close to the campsite, with frequent disruptions.

The owner was on-site but refused to speak with us personally about our concerns.

Staff told us no refund was possible due to booking through Pitchup, while Pitchup later claimed the campsite is responsible — leaving us stuck in the middle.

Neither Pitchup nor the campsite has taken accountability for the unacceptable conditions.
