We arrived to find it had closed down (gone into receivership) we hadn't been notified before travelling and so we had to ring round and try to find an alternative site at short notice.

The masons arms is no longer trading nor is the campsite arrived sat the 16 the dodgy landlords done a bunk waiting for someone se to take over they owe me 54 quid

Lovely friendly staff, beautiful village, great walks for the dog with miles and miles of footpaths around the local orchards, quiet campsite.

My original pitch was basically impossible to get into! Very heavily laden pear tree, which could do with a good pruning, a caravan with its butt half over the pitch on one side, and a massive tent set up with guy ropes everywhere encroaching on the other side. Luckily there was another pitch available and I was put in there for my one night.

Near large supermarket and retail park but you wouldn’t know it as the site is tucked away

Brewery that operate it have not paid the staff for months so the pub ended up closing whilst we were there

The best thing about the Masons is the staff, what a brilliantly friendly and helpful team. We sadly witnessed them being treated very badly by some motorhomers who were drunk and abusive, but the staff carried themselves very well and bent over backwards to make our stay enjoyable. The pub itself is great, friendly locals and good pub food. I look forward to returning very soon.

I disliked nothing but people should read the reviews to ensure they aren't surprised by the limited toilets/showers etc. This is a pub site and not a CACC site with all the bells and whistles.
