The pitches are checked when guests have left, plastic pegs do break off in the ground and can not be removed, (we sell metal ones in the Touring office), the pitches can become un-tidy if either the wind blows rubbish around or walkers leave a mess behind themselves.
The toilets and showers are cleaned twice per day during the week however being toilets and the nature of what they are used for they may be smelly at times as there are no automatic air fresh sprays. Toilet paper etc on the floors making it look dirty is unfortunately down to people not being tidy after the cleaner has left. The soap dispensers are checked during cleaning(we have had occasions where the soaps have been removed by campers staying). The chemical waste area is a necessity for some campers and will smell more during hot weather.

We are not able to clear up after guests all of the time and we do expect people to tidy up after themselves and there are plenty of bins for rubbish and recycling.

I (the campsite warden) live on site and I am available 24 hours a day for any issues you may have whilst staying here(either by coming into the office or calling the mobile number on the cards given at checking in. The toilets and showers have regular cleans, in-between cleaning they will at times become dirty especially if raining or guests have been on the river.

We do provide toilets and showers within the stipulations set out by the campsite regulations, however I can understand there being frustration if the majority of guests want to use them at the same time.
A jetty would be a welcome asset with the campsite being directly on the river, I will pass this on to the management team to see if something can be done for easier access.
