Proximity to the road was no problem, it's a relatively quiet road, certainly in October when we visited and little traffic at night. The location is great for walking direct from the site, just pick up your OS map and head out.
The adjacent pub is welcoming for both food and drink, and I would recommend eating there as we did as it was excellent.
We had no issues with mobile phone signal, getting a solid 4G connection, so access to the internet and voice/video calls was no problem.
A site that we would definitely return to without hesitation.
