We recently stayed on the touring pitches at Squires Café Bar and had a brilliant time. The pitch was level, easy to access, and close to everything we needed. Electric hook-up and water were straightforward to use, and the whole site felt well looked after.
The facilities were clean and practical, with hot showers (token-operated but good value) and plenty of space for waste disposal.
What really makes Squires stand out is the atmosphere. There’s a real sense of community here—especially if you enjoy bikes, but even as non-bikers we felt welcomed. The café serves hearty, tasty food in generous portions, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay.
The location is perfect for exploring nearby attractions like York and Leeds, but honestly, it’s easy to spend a whole day just enjoying the café, chatting with other visitors, and soaking up the buzz.
We’ll definitely be back—Squires is more than just a place to park up for the night; it’s an experience in itself.

Honestly, not much to dislike. The showers and electric are token-operated, which works fine once you know the system, but it’s worth making sure you’ve got enough tokens ahead of time—especially if you arrive late or during busy times.

Brilliant pitches, amazing staff, fabulous home cooked, real food and services. We've already returned and will definitely be back.

Toilets and showers a bit of a let down, could do with new shower curtains.

We came for the YRABF we had the best weekend, well done to Satan slaves for organising the event. We have already got next years tickets.
