I was impressed with the site from the start, the track in was well laid and firm for my 5.6 ton camper van. The grass was firm even though it had been raining in the days before going.
I was particularly impressed with the toilet facilities which had obviously been replaced recently, showers inside and also outside for sandy surfers to wash off after a day at the beach leaving the indoor facilities clean.
There are good food restaurants within a short walk and we were able to get pizza delivered from Bude which was the best I had had in a long time. I will certainly go again next time I go to Widemouth Bay.

Location was really good with great views, especially the sunset. Pub, cafe and shop just outside the campsite. Toilets were modern and clean with facilities for wetsuits.
Also liked that you can pitch anywhere when you don’t need electric.

Friendly, helpful couple at reception. Outside showers for wetsuits - hot, inside also available for normal showers.
Only 200 metres from the beach avoiding walking down the camp road- go to top of field and down the next, cross the main road and you're there.

Beautiful location opposite the beach.
Site is well run and managed; very clean and excellent toilet/shower blocks (newly added), plus good washing up area and numerous water points
Gary and Sue were very friendly and helpful including giving us a jump start when our battery died.
Electric pitches well spaced out so no feeling of crowding

The weather turned grim so we left 2 days early sadly
