Superb camp site - so much so, I almost do not want to write this review as then everyone will be there! This is our second visit and we would stay again.
The setting is brilliant, the children loved the animal feeding as ever and the fishing. Facilities are great and we had a fabulous time with friends sitting around camp fires - it was our friend’s first time camping and they felt that the choice of camp site had set the bar high and are worried they will not be able to camp elsewhere in similar comfort.

Owner was fantastic!. Took kids round to help feed all her pets which they loved. Music and entertainment at the party bus on Saturday night was good!

The host was fantastic with the children. Very welcoming and informative. Spent ages with the kids letting them feed and handle the animals. The site was very clean and well maintained.

Great showers. Clean loos. Fridge and freezer. Animal feeding each morning. Quiet. Complementary pizza, snacks, games and music on a Saturday evening. Owners Andy and Lisa are fab. Flat pitches. Device charging. Wood can be bought on site. Bonfires allowed. Close to supermarket.

Rooster crowing at 4am (you soon get used too him) and a bit of noise during the day from the quarry but not a problem if you’re out for the day.

The atmosphere that the owners create is truly wonderful. They are extremely welcoming and friendly without being 'too much'. They are kind and easygoing. We loved the grounds, and being surrounded by animals was very special. Our 10 year old, who is normally quite shy, loved helping to feed the animals and requested the next morning job, too.
The campsite and the amenities were clean.
We met many other families just like us. It was splendid weekend.
Let's not forget the beautiful and inviting Lyme Regis, just a few minutes drive away. If you like nature and simplicity, that's the place for you.

Andy and Lisa were very welcoming, Rhea Farm is a really nice friendly, relaxed spacious camp site, the facilities were kept very clean and there were enough showers and toilets so there wasn't a queue. The fishing was fantastic and Andy was very helpful. We will be back thank you.

We stayed for the May Bank Holiday weekend in 2025. Andy and Lisa were really welcoming hosts, it was a lovely relaxing stay. The site is low key, off grid, the exact opposite to what we dislike (‘factory’ style sites with lots of hardstandings and loads of caravans/motorhomes rammed in tight). Rhea Farm let you camp wherever you like within reason, it was a really nice break away from it all. The kids loved the whole menagerie of animals, Lisa was kind enough to show them around and tell them all about them.

Facilities were fine - clean and enough for the people present - although if you are expecting huge brick toilet/shower blocks this is possibly not for you.

There was plenty of green space for kids to run around and explore the site safely. We liked the rule of no unsupervised U12s around the lake from a safety perspective.

It’s a short 15 minute drive to Lyme Regis which has a lovely beach but parking can be tricky. There is a park and ride which we would use if going again.

Would we go back? Absolutely 100%, lovely place.

Two things the site can’t do much about:

1) there were a lot of (non-biting) midge type flies about. I guess you get this near water. Slightly irritating but that’s the great outdoors for you!

2) the pub at Kilmington was unfortunately closed, it looks like it is seeking new tenants. Just something to check, if planning to go there, has it reopened?
