A lovely, quiet family-run site with a really welcoming atmosphere. It’s run by a very helpful lady who genuinely goes out of her way to make sure everyone is looked after nothing seemed too much trouble, which made the stay feel relaxed and friendly from the moment we arrived.
Considering the amount of rain we’ve had this year, the grass areas were understandably quite wet, but that’s just the British weather and not a reflection on the site itself. The facilities were well maintained and the toilet block was clean and tidy. A couple of light bulbs were out, but as the site had only just reopened for the season, I’m sure those small bits will be sorted very quickly.
The seasonal pitch owners were also very friendly and chatty, which added to the nice community feel of the place.
And finally, the most important part for us the fishing. According to my son, it was excellent and well worth the visit, which says it all really.
Overall, a great little site with a friendly feel. We’ll definitely be returning.

Leaving to go home

Location was perfect for us to explore the Lakes and Blackpool over the half term break. Peaceful site in a rural location. Newly built Facilities block was warm and clean.

It is the end of the season but the grass was very overgrown.

Came in to check in no one in reception apartment from mattresses!,then drove up to rockery,no one around,checked website and said didn’t open till 17th?? May be a refund should be in order!?????

Quick check in and friendly staff on site. Fishing with no time restrictions. Hut clean and comfortable beds.
Quite and felt safe for kids to play around.
