We were charged a HIGH SEASON rate of over £40 per night, but all facilities were closed for the season.
Showers and toilets were open, two drinking water outlets on site within the field alongside chemical emptying point, no apparent grey water drain and no site map available explaining where it might have been located.
Site appears to be set up for use in the high season for young people in campervans within open fields alongside the static caravans area.
We will definitely visit again during high season next time

I can confirm that you paid low season prices, as our low season begins at the start of September, hence The Courtyard closing. The bar and pizza place are run by individuals who can't stay open beyond the bulk of the season due to the drop in footfall. They stayed open as long as they could and closed in mid September.
There is a grey water drain opposite the Courtyard, and a site map on the door at reception along with instructions for self check in and phone numbers to call if you need assistance, which it sounds like you did. I'm not sure why you chose to emphasise that you were told to stay in the 'FIELD' that you booked - unless you thought we were on the island itself, in which case I can only apologise that you only had a view of said island...
We are a laid back site with ample facilities and, as you mention, an unrivalled position close to the beach and on the coast path with spectacular views. It sounds like you enjoy a tighter knit operation and I hope you find a site more suited to your needs next time.
