N'a pas aimé : The location of the electric hook ups (3 amp) close to the cliff hedge and high winds meant my tent poles (4 of them) broke within a couple of hours and we had to return home. This is obviously no one’s fault but I feel others should be informed that the low hedges and high winds mean your tent might not be strong enough. The staff were very helpful and friendly when I asked for help however I wouldn’t recommend this site for tents, the site was mainly campervans and the small 1/2 man tents close to the ground.
We are seasoned campers and my tent is a vango Keswick II 600 but it still wasn’t good enough to weather the winds.

Thanks for your review. I'm glad to see that you were happy the site facilities and staff, and yet you've given us a 4/10 due to weather, which is disappointing and out of our control.
I understand you won't be returning, but for the benefit of future campers who may read your review, I wish to point out that we were fully booked that bank holiday weekend, and although many were in camper vans as you say, we had lots of tents. Some of whom decided to pitch up in different fields further from the coast, or who saw the forecasted wind and brought smaller, sturdier tents.
The price we sometimes pay for a sea view is that the wind blows in off the sea. We have thousands of tents here every year and few problems. The 3amp hookup you chose is the one closest to the coast, no doubt due to the spectacular views!
