Charge is per tent so a bit pricey for single travellers however the location made up for it.

Brilliant site, lovely views. Owners were lovely, always happy to chat. Toilets were clean and always had toilet roll/hand-wash, showers were hot. Fire pits to hire and logs for sale was a great touch. Pub 5 minutes walk up the road with amazing views. Bus stop 10 minute walk away so if you don't want to drive easy access to other places. We'll definitely be back.

Campsite is located in beautiful place and a vue is amazing. Very close to many hiking trails and only 3/4 miles from Derwentwater lake. It's paradise for anyone who loves water sports and hiking. It's simple pop up campsite so basic amenities are available - 4 shower with hot water, toilet block with separate male and female toilets , dishwashing station and many drinking water taps around all the camping field. Easy check in from 8 am to 9 pm and check out until 12( later than on other campsites). We have been in a middle of the week so not many tents but can be busy at weekends. Camping field is flat and everyone can choose own place.

Nothing to dislike. We spent really good time here.

The owners were extremely helpful and kind. The showers were also always clean and it was great to have hot water from them. Another thing was the accessibility of drinking water was extremely good as taps were dotted around the camp.

Unfortunately there was a bit of a problem with the main toilets in the last few days of our stay where they smelt incredibly bad. I think we were lucky to experience them when they didn’t smell like that.

Cost of some logs was £8 which we thought was a bit steep and the toilets had strong smelling chemicals and flies in them.

The showers were hot.

I was so disappointed with this campsite.
It was a pop up campsite, so it was portaloos, which would have been fine had they not been dirty, the smell was awful and they were blocked every day.
There were no 'rules' as such which meant that everyone was crammed in next to each other. Unable to get a car width between tents.
There was also no noise control, there were multiple speakers playing till after 1am with constant noise. There were a lot of children on the campsite too which made the inappropriate music and noise more concerning.
I was so disappointed with this campsite, it completely ruined our weekend away.

Area and views fantastic, reasonably priced. Field decent and flat. Decent amount of space and water outlets. Plenty of local walks.

Toilets were bad, not necessarily the fault of the owners but got to the point where I almost had to take my children off site to find other facilities.

Very little to no policing of the rules - people not far from us had music blasting til 3am, were very drunk, bothering other campers and so much foul language - really not appropriate for younger kids. The on site person even checked in and had a laugh with them at points.
