Amazing campsite - friendly, relaxed, good facilities, powerful showers, perfect location for the Catbells walk & lovely pub 5minutes up the road.

Beautiful setting, with hills all around. Nearby stream a few minutes walk away.

The showers were wonderfully warm and cleaned frequently. The toilets were clean and regularly maintained. The washing up area was tidy and had hot water too.

Not the quietest site I've stayed on, but no real noise from 10:30pm.

We stayed for 2 nights. The first night when we arrived the field was extremely wet and boggy. Everything got very muddy, people were slipping in the mud, a car got stuck and had to be pushed.

However, I think this was probably a rare case of arriving after lots of rain, as by the following day the field had dried out a lot.

Showers and toilets were all very clean and stocked up regularly throughout our stay. We loved that there was a washing up station too which made our stay a lot easier. Brilliant that fires and BBQs were allowed and you could rent out a BBQ from the campsite if you don't have your own. It was a quiet stay even though there were large groups. Loved that you could choose your own spot in the campsite and it didn't feel restricted. There were drinking water taps around the whole campsite which was so nice.

Washing up sink got a bit grimy but that is more from other guests.

Great place and loved the hospitality and friendly staff. I also loved the cleanliness of the place and used the shower block which is a first for me at a campsite. Close to some good walks and a nice pub. Dog friendly

Very nice location though was a bit hard to find as post code too us elsewhere. It had been raining so field was muddy and not ideal but we enjoyed and had good fun. Will visit again possibly during relatively dry conditions. lol

Friendly guy at the site- helped us find us somewhere to dry our boots out
Shower and toilet facilities were excellent- hot water and clean
Sink area was covered and had small area to prep food
Convenient location close to several lakes and walking spots

Sink in kitchen area was dirty and bin overflowing but to be fair a skip was provided over the road so not a big issue…

Unfortunately the site was pretty flooded the weekend we went and some people struggled to get off the field. We found a relatively dry patch but maybe just be wary during the winter months- it’s at the bottom of the valley

Really welcoming owners, location is amazing! Showers were great quality and always warm. Toilets were clean and always had loo roll.
