Absolutely loved this campsite. Perfect location, super friendly staff and clean site. This was a very chilled and amazing site. We had two teenagers and a dog and it really was perfect. We will definitely go back. Toilets and showers clean.

The only thing I would say is add another pot wash.

Lovely spot ,nice pub 10 mins up the road and the lake another 15 mins.
Basic site but has everything you need and kept lovely clean and tidy.

Everything, large pitches, steam running along the field, plenty of footpaths to explore and a pub within walking distance. No issues at all with the facilities - other reviewers seem to overlook the value and the pop-up nature of this site, but it worked for our group of 8. Showers were hot, toilets all working and kept stocked by the friendly staff. This site is a fantastic base to explore the borrowdale/newlands area. Pitchup says not dog friendly in FAQs, this is definitely not the case, our dog had a great time in the stream and walks.

There's only a short walk (5mins max) to the pub up the hill.
Plenty of space

Showers were good and hot
Keswick is only a short drive or bike ride away

Basic facilities, but it is a campsite
Its a bit remote, but that's not necessarily a bad thing

Site was well appointed and the staff very helpful. The showers were some of the best I've seen given they were a temporary installation.

Only one sink for washing up meant long waits to clean the plates.

Nice atmosphere, great to be able to hire fire pits and buy wood on site. Pretty site, short walk up the hill to the pub. Showers powerful and hot. Water taps around site. Rural/ wild camping vibe but with toilets and showers etc!

Lovely chilled site with beautiful scenery. Facilities were good. Great place for children. There was always staff handy who were very helpful.

Liked that it’s pick your own pitch as my friend is a snorer 🤣 toilets and showers. Nice fire pits to hire. Very close to catbells with a perfect view of it from the pitch.

Location and size of field...level and few stones so easy to pitch up

Facilities.
Site has two fields , had over 100 pitches up, min 2 person a tent, majority have 3 or 4, especially families

1 sink to wash in...tepid water...
No drying facilities
4 showers
4 male toilets...most had broken seats/ broken toilet holders.

1 block of 2 had no running water...I'm sure that breaching H&S

If I wanted to know what camping in 1975 was like, I now know

Won't be returning to this site again
