Fantastic location- lovely pub 2 mins walk away, Keswick 10mins drive away.
Very clean facilities.
Lovely and welcoming staff.
Able to hire fire pits and wood.
Drinking water dotted around the site.
There’s a field opposite the main site which you can park at for a more peaceful stay.
Highly recommend this camp site and we can’t wait to return for a longer stay!

The campsite was a great side, flat and the proximity to amenities was great. The pub is about a 5 minute walk and the bus stop about 10 minutes away.

On the site the toilets were cleaned regularly and well stocked with toilet paper, feminine hygiene products and paper towels and the washing up station was also well maintained.

My kids loved being close to the stream which was clean enough to swim in. There is plenty of shade which was great for pitching the tent.

Surprisingly I had good signal and 4G!

It’s a shame the skip for rubbish wasn’t a bit bigger with the option for recycling but there were so many positives this didn’t really sway my overall impression.

The fact that:
-the camp site was close to Keswick but also away from traffic and nestled in a great location with magnificent views.
- flexible on where you pitch and not worried about general size of tent etc. very relaxed.
-showers were brilliant. Never ending hot water and spotless little shower pods.
-drinking water available around the field
-hot water and big sinks for washing dishes

Men’s toilet block. Daughter said women’s was nice and clean. Men’s was not. Urinal area had the same discarded earplug and dead insects in it for 4 days we were there. 2 toilets could be cleaner.

Absolutely perfect. The place is beautiful and the staff are amazing 👏. Definitely will return to this campsite.

Beautiful location surrounded by mountains and spectacular views of Catbells. The owners were very welcoming on arrival and always available if you needed them. The facilities were basic but cleaned daily and the showers were hot. Shallow river onsite perfect for a morning dip or for the kids to paddle in. Ideally positioned for hiking or visiting Derwent water and Keswick.

Superb pop up site, beautiful valley, helpful and engaged team looking after the place.

I’m always delighted if there’s a space for dogs to be able to be let off lead, it’s a big ask though. One such field would add huge value to our stay.

We love this campsite and have stayed there several times. It is a fabulous location, beautiful views and easy access to Keswick and surrounding hills. Handily the pub is 5 minutes walk up the road and serves nice food too. We like the friendly management and that we can have a log burner in our bell tent (when it is cold enough!), as well as BBQ and fire pits- they sell logs etc so no need to find room in the car. We come with a dog and whilst we keep her close and under control she doesn’t have to be constantly on the lead (I feel as long as we are mindful to clean up and keep her out of everyone’s way it’s nice to have the trust ). The facilities are kept clean and there’s everything you need including hot showers and washing up sinks. Our first choice campsite when visiting the lakes.

Wish it was open more of the year as we had to stay somewhere else at Easter!

Large open field with views of the mountains all around. plenty of space, clean toilets and showers and plenty of hot water. Fire pits and washing up area all great.

Very helpful staff. Stunning scenery. Everything that was advertised was delivered. Clean and tidy.

Could probably have maps up of the walks available in the area

location was absolutely perfect. 20 minute walk to derwentwater and 50 minutes into Keswick. At the top of catbells we could see our tent and car! Lots of space to camp with an adult only section. The stream at the bottom of the campsite was perfect for the dog to cool down. Excellent showers and clean toilets. Even offered free sanitary products which is really thoughtful. Staff on hand to help all the time. Couldn’t recommend enough and will definitely be back
