We returned to Micklefield Cottage this year, after a lovely weekend here last year.

We love this place and the hosts!

Naomi and Mark are so friendly and accommodating.

The Shepherd's hut is cosy and comfortable. We love sitting outside with the firepit on for a bbq, looking out to the lovely views.

It's so convenient having a kitchen and shower area for sole use. We go shopping at the local shops and farmers markets and come back to cook on the fire. A very lovely experience!

Lovely, quaint little shepherds hut in a serene location. Hosts had thought about everything and were happy to help with knowledge of the local area or just to set up the fire pit! We will definitely be back 😊

We loved our stay here! Peaceful shepherd's hut with gorgeous views. Well equipped kitchen and warm shower. The place was spotless and had everything we needed. Would definitely recommend.

If you are looking for a peaceful break, this is definitely the place!

We had a lovely time exploring the local area and enjoyed the fire in the evening. The kitchen was well equipped and the bed was very comfy!

Nothing really...only the fact that we struggled to get a phone signal and WiFi was intermittent (not the owners fault at all!)

The views, the accommodation, the owners, the facilities. Everything was perfect. Loved the chow shed a and Naomi and Mark were such lovely hosts. Very friendly and always available to help. Loved our overnight stay here and would love to come again. It was so peaceful and just what was needed.

I had the most wonderful stay at Mary's shepherd's hut. Naomi and Mark couldn't have been more welcoming or helpful, and the facilities are top-notch. The hut is lovely, with power sockets, heater & fan (neither were needed!), and an extremely comfortable bed. There's a well-equipped separate kitchen with dining area and woodburning stove, as well as separate toilet and shower (for your use only - not shared with anyone else). I spent a lovely evening sitting reading by the firepit, getting to know farm cat Lily (quite a character!), and listening to the sounds of the countryside. Thoroughly recommended.

Have stayed in many sites through pitchup this was one of the best. Seperate kitchen area was a definite plus, the shower and toilet facilities were spotless. The whole site was clean and well looked after. The owners could not of been more friendly and helpful. As an animal lover the onsite horses, cat and dog were a welcome delight. However if you are not a fan of animals they equally wouldnt bother you at all. Peaceful surroundings with walks you can take, short drive into a lovely village with shops and pubs. Would highly recommend this place and I will definitely be returning.
