Good to find washing facilities with a Microwave when I forgot a pan to heat a curry.
Use of a washing machine and a fridge freezer. Lots of info to buy meat at the farm and events around the area.

First camping trip in 4 years and I’m so glad I picked the right spot! where do I begin!! This is a great campsite if you just want the basics of camping! The facilities were actually more than I expected with 3 toilet blocks and a kitchen area with kettle, toaster, sandwich toaster, microwave and hot drinks machine. Not to forget the free washing machine!! You could also buy locally produced meat for the BBQ, which was delicious and on a sat night the pizza can come and the make fresh pizza on sit, which was equally delicious! 😋
We were pitched at the top of the top field which was a great spot! My daughter loved waking up to the horses in the field behind who would come up to say hello every morning. The nature walk is amazing and loved that it was wild and overgrown as my kids felt like the were adventuring through the woods and to come upon the fire pit area with rope swings etc was an added bonus!! Even my husband enjoyed himself on the swing!!😂 The site is in a great location in easy reach of most parts of Cornwall and not too far away from local supermarket and Falmouth town but yet very remote and peaceful.
Yes some of the faculties could do with a bit of sprucing up but they were cleaned everyday by 1 person (the fantastic host!) who also had another million jobs to do not only on the campsite but elsewhere whilst single handedly running the site! I don’t understand why people are complaining about the amount of spiders and insects in the shower blocks!! You are camping for-goodness sake!! 😡
Back to the Host!! What an amazing person she was! She couldn’t do more to help! Always visible on site checking up on everyone and delivering firewood/marshmallows on a night! On our second day there was a horrible storm and she was out all night making sure everyone was ok in the tent field! A couple of families tents collapsed so she put them up in some of the Available pods and caravans! She did offer us one but we declined as the kids wanted to stay in the tent! She wouldn’t leave us alone until she knew we were safe! She even drove her van up to help shield some of the wind from our tent!! She was brilliant all she was bothered about was making sure every one was safe and happy! I can’t say enough about how great she was and the care and commitment she seemed to have for the site and its occupants! She was so kind natured and wouldn’t take money for some things like firewood and marshmallows, which I insisted she did!! She also took some of the kids round to help feed the horses and other animals. I do hope she gets to read this and see how much she was really appreciated on our stay!
We had an amazing holiday thank you we will definitely be thinking of coming again! 😊

Nothing at all really, except Some of the campers and kids were very wild and noisy on a night, which is fair enough as they are enjoying themselves but some nights it was far too late! but that has nothing to do with the camp site! Maybe a noise curfew could be put in place? Or some people just need to look up camping etiquette!!!! 🤔

But for the time we stayed the site was clean and tidy

Small quiet site, ideal for older couples, young families.
Basic but served it’s purpose
Facilities that were provided were mostly clean and usable .

Lack of onsite shop
Fridge provided had “dodgy food” left in it and smelled
(Freezer was fine)
Was down a country lane away from anywhere which was a bit challenging at times
No Wi-Fi on site and internet was a bit sketchy at best

Camping pod- immaculately clean, comfy beds, well stocked with utensils and close to clean toilet/ shower blocks
Very family and dog friendly on the site
Brilliant location for exploring south cornwall

The location was lovely. We stayed in owl pod, the pod was nicely laid out with a bunk bed, a single bed and a double bed, it was comfy and bedding was provided. It would have been nice to have been told this as the information from the site said bring all bedding otherwise you can’t stay. I did email the site but never got a response.

I never saw the owners but if I had I would have given them feedback overall 1.only one gas burner worked so we had only one cooking burner to cook on. 2. The bench was dangerously rotted, we didn’t sit on it for fear of falling through the wood. 3. The toilet doors in the concrete toilet block did not all shut and on one shower there was no door just a curtain for modesty. We did not use the family showers as they always were occupied for hours . 4. In the pod we were meant to have water that could be pumped, this did not work so we washed up in the cabin, the facilities in there were reasonable and water was hot so washing up was easier in there. Noticed a kettle and toaster and coffee machine which was a nice addition.

On the last day one of the campers actually locked the door to the toilet and shower block to have private time, very disrespectful since it was a male using the ladies toilets. I was forced to use the toilets in the top field and they were terrible it was raining very heavily and there was a water leak in the cubicle, no chance anyone could change in there with out getting wet and dirty.

People arriving in early hours ,there should be a curfew for arrivals or visitors.

The nature walk was not cut so no chance of walking without getting wet feet. So unfortunately did not try this.

A fire pit was provided but the grill bars was filthy, there was a bbq scrubbing tool but clearly no one used it before us.

We are seasoned campers and are only providing this feedback so that the owners can improve. We paid over 300 for 3 nights and do not think that the pods were worth this amount, at least the one we stayed in certainly wasn’t.
