Provenant du gestionnaire...
Hi Kim, Thanks for the review. In response: - we're a tiny site and have never had a problem with having 4 showers and loos. Most times when I go up and clean them they are empty. If it becomes a problem, we can build more, but then the costs of the same and maintaining them increase the site fees... Hope you find somewhere more to your liking next time. Cheers, D |

Hi there, Thanks for the review. We always expect a bad review when we've had to tell someone off. For reference, you were the booking that ignored our rule about disposable fire pits then burned a hole in the grass. You thought you'd 'sussed' it when you advised you'd put thin metal plates under the BBQ to stop the heat transferring to the grass. Upon me pointing out that metal is a really good heat conductor, the mood turned a little sour. In response to your specific points however: 1. In relation to how far the pitches are apart, we've got 5.5 acres and sell 12 tent spaces, 7 tourer pitches and 4 glamping pods. Within reason, you can go anywhere you want on the camping field (i.e next to no-one if you like). Each pitch is a minimum of 10 x 10m to ensure a 6m gap between you and the next tent as per our rules/fire legislation. Not sure how far you'd like to be from other campers. 2. As to loud music on the second night, I don't believe that was anyone on our site. There was a wedding at the barn down the road, over which we have no control. Our 10pm walkaround did not reveal anyone making noise on site. 3. As to me being sarcastic, yes I am, but on that occasion, I was genuinely confused. You pointed at the monument in the next field and asked how long it would take to walk there. As you could clearly see it, and knew how fast you walked, I was not sure I understood your question. I then clarified and advised 5 minutes. 4. As to cleaning the showers, I am not sure I understand your point. We regularly check and clean the showers. If someone is in a cubible, we'll leave them in there, but are you suggesting that we should not clean anywhere else until the whole shower block is empty? If so, please think about how that would work on a small busy site. Hope you find a site more to your liking next time. Cheers, David. |

Hi Sean,
Thansk for the review. As to there being nothing to do within walking distance, it depends upon what you want to do. We're a rural site with rural things to do like nice pubs, walks, cycle routes, wildlife watching, fishing and so on.
Everyone comes to site with a vehicle, and even if they don't, the GoToo bus can come to site and collect you.
In the vicinity, we've got two market towns, Bewilderwood Childrens Adventure, Three Wrens Gin Distillery Tours, Longmans Farm Shop, Canal Barge Hire, a shooting range, wedding venues and....you get the point.
We will add more to the site in due course.
Cheers,
D
