The owner of the site came round in the late evening and got people to quite down which we really appreciated as it drives us mad when there's people partying in a tent in the middle of the night on a campsite!
The little shop was sweet and fairly priced. Got a lovely coffee and some cold drinks on a boiling hot day so appreciated that.
The owner was incredibly friendly and helpful.

1. Pitches are a good size to allow parking on the pitch but for some reason, this doesn't happen. We are therefore adding a car park at the top of the site.
2. Some camping pitches are on a gradient, but plenty are not. We have more pitches than we sell to give campers more choice.
3. Facilities are usally deepcleaned after very busy periods including the summer holidays as they have been now.

We stayed as a family including a 1 year old. On our last night we had a fire pit and were having a few drinks, as we did every night of our stay. We did have some music playing. The owner came and asked us to turn the music down, which we did very respectfully, we hadn’t noticed the time. But then instead of leaving us to finish our drinks whilst the fire died down as we had told him we were going to do, he sat on a bench at the end of the pitch opposite and watched us. We asked if everything was alright as it felt very uncomfortable and awkward. He said he was waiting and watching as there was also another pitch making noise and that he could hear us from the house. I’m pretty certain he would not have been able to hear us from all the way back at the house as we would have had to have been very loud and I’m sure that would have woken the baby! If someone had complained to him via WhatsApp then I’m sorry, but tent walls are very thin, you can hear even whispers. But you shouldn’t expect the whole site to be silent, people often go camping to have some fun believe it or not.

Thanks for the review. In response, every bad review we get tends to be on exactly the same basis, so here's a generic response that I will start copying and pasting.
Hi there,
We are sorry that you were not happy with our site rules. Our site rules are clearly displayed on site and you're made aware of them at the time of booking and again before you arrive.
We are a quiet site and therefore ask for low noise at all times then no noise after 10pm. We are relaxed with this rule and if things are calming down by 10pm, we will leave campers until 10:30/11pm. Sitting out until the early hours is no problem if you are quiet.
Sadly, usually when groups and/or alcohol are involved, campers' behaviour can be a little less than considerate and we then receive complaints from other campers/neighbours. We then have to come up again and speak to the group in question. We will then stay on site until the noise abates which usually takes 10-20 minutes.
We like having to mashall the campsite as much as campers like being told off for being inconsiderate. We live on site and would very much like to leave campers to their own devices, but unfortunately, this is not usually possible.
Several days later, we will then get the inevitable poor review from the inconsiderate group as if we've somehow hurt their pride. This is not our intention. All we ask is that campers are considerate.

1. As to "cowardly and rudely approching the girls":
a. by "girls" I assume you mean your wife and her friend.
b. by speaking to them 'first', I assume that in the afternoon, you were too drunk to remember (other campers advised that you had been drinking since 9am) that I asked you to stop shouting and swearing twice. The first time you were shouting "f* *k off, f**k off,f**k off,f**k off," to whom I understand were the grandparents in the group during what you considered a friendly argument. Not 10 seconds later when you came to the loo I was cleaning, I asked you again, and you denied any knowledge of it. On my way back to the house, I spoke to whom I assume was your wife who was on her way to the dog field. I was polite and advised that we'd had complaints and would inevitably get a bad review from other campers and she agreed that the shouting and swearing would stop.
c. We recently got a 1/5 star review on Google which we've disputed. It clearly stated that we have a lovely site which was ruined by the "all day shouting, drinking and swearing from another large group". No points for guessing which group that was. Inevitably, we now get your review for being told your behaviour was both inconsiderate and inappropriate. The cycle continues.
2. As to the showers being deep cleaned, yes, at the end of a long season, they have just been deep cleaned.
3. As to being in my back yard, it's funny you should say that.
4. As to sticking to the rules without deviation, the rules are there as a guide. All I ask is that you are considerate of other campers and the neighbours. Sadly, you (particularly the two males) were not.
