Lovely campsite, great value for money.

We had an issue with noisy campers, the campsite manager did not answer their phone and seemed disinterested that a group of people was blasting out loud music on car speakers until 1am, trash left everywhere. None of us could sleep and my friends 2yr old struggled with all of the loud noise. That was the only downfall of the campsite.

Easy to travel to, but unfortunately not well signposted . Pitch was flat with easy access. Electricity, water and waste water outlet on pitch, so fully serviced, even though the drain was some distance away. Shower block , excellent showers and very clean.
Thank you fishermen of England for providing us with amusing viewing!
Some motorway noise but not too bad at night.
Would go again, outside of school holidays!

Lovely stay and facilties

but the site was over run with gypsies and we were told several times to watch our belongings by staff which made our stay uncomfortable. Would not return for this reason again. Has a single mother with 2 children staying alone i felt very unnerved all week.

Spacious campsite. On-site attendant until late. Shower block was clean, and relatively well maintained. Cost effective.

Clean Toilets and Showers, Friendly Recaption Staff. This is Fishing Place. I think for people who likes fishing this is lovely spot. I parked there on my way home. It is ok for 1 night. Golf Club next to the campsite.

Been before and a great location

When we last came it was a nice relaxing hot day/evening, we managed to have some food on a bbq and a fire to keep us warm while we had a few drinks, how ever this time we had had a bbq and managed to eat, however while doing this some bloke on a buggy drove near us and stared didn’t say anything to us but drove by slowly as if he wanted to say something but didn’t, then about an hour later around 9:00 we started to light a fire,(this fire was raised of the ground) obviously a fire can smoke, this buggy came round again with the same bloke in, he then proceeded to tell us that we are not allowed fires and the owner would not be happy. However the last time we came a few weeks ago we were not bothered at all by anyone and it was comforting. This time however me and my partner felt targeted by this individual who told us that we weren’t allowed this fire as the rules had changed, he stuttered when questioned why like he didn’t know what to say and that’s when he said that people had been burning the grass. He could see this fire was raised off the floor and was not going to damage the grass, and me and my partner are also not everyone else. So I put the fire out to respect what he been said although I do believe we were given false information as we were a young couple. So as the night goes on we notice people camping around us also had fires, they had no problems at all, they were not bothered by anyone or told to put them out as the rules had “changed” the next night another few campers turned up, they had multiple fires at the same time and were not told to put them out, this is also when the rain and wind were at it strongest, so I don’t get why we were told we couldn’t have a fire when it was raised not windy not too dry that it would burn grass. Me and my partner felt singled out and on edge when we needed to cook our food as we didn’t want the tiniest bit of smoke to alert who ever this person in the buggy was. Overall our experience was ruined and we are now put off coming back to this place to camp as we felt singled out.

This is a well located site and easy to access. The entrance is easy to miss, but one found everything else is easy to find. The pitches are good and if you like fishing there are loads of options. The facilities are clean, with a couple of showers per block. There is an on-site cafe and good electric hookup. At night time a code is required for the gate for added security. Pitches are reasonably level with plenty of space. All in all a good location to stay.

There are a couple of showers in the toilet block. Although not an issue on my visit, when busy this could become a bottle neck. Plan ahead of the crowd is my advice.

A fantastic site, all the info was emailed and also received texts before arrival. Great location and a great site. We were free to pitch up where we wanted(non electric pitch). Toilet shower blocks were clean and the showers were amazing, hot and powerful! Staff were very friendly!! Cafe onsite but didn’t get chance to use it this time around. Will definitely stay here again no problem.

Nothing to dislike really other than creating a walkway from the non electrical picture area to the toilet/shower blocks.
