Lovely site, very relaxed, facilities superb.

Very modern and clean toilets/shower/washing up facilities. The areas for camping were well looked after and perfect for us in our tent.

Not being able to walk the dog around the lake and some fishing men yelling at us about it.

We had the most incredible experience at Makins Fishery! The location was breathtaking, nestled in nature's beauty. The staff were extremely friendly, helpful and went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. From helping out with our accommodation questions being a first time camping family to being supportive with our first time fishing experience. The amenities were top-notch, from clean restrooms to well-maintained shower areas. Every pitch was super spacious. couldn't get enough of the stunning sunsets and starry nights. If you're seeking a rejuvenating outdoor getaway, this place is an absolute gem! We’ll surely be back soon!

And quiet it was, yet at the same time plenty to do.

Loved our stay even though our family dog was barking at every passing person using the facilities so very sorry. We had a lovely time could not fault the site every one very helpful and well maintain.
Even had a go at fishing tried to relax but sadly with my children kept pestering me because sadly my partner wasn't well enough to keep them entertained.

Could do with a launderette on site would be even better but still every thing was to hand near by.

Showers appeared to be stuck on hot, we did mention this to the owners.

The lakes are beautiful and the staff was friendly.

Proximity to the road makes it not a very quiet place. Hardstanding pitches are close to each other. It seems to be an amazing site if you are there for fishing as they have a great structure for that. But if you are looking for camping only, which was our case, it doesn't impress.
Toilet and shower block not big enough to the size of the site, and not very clean.
