Lovey location with amazing views.
Lots of space on which to pitch the tent. The people who run it are very friendly. Showers were hot and clean.

Would have been nice to have a playing area (climbing frame, swings a that type of thing) for the kids.

Could have done with more toilets.

Stunning views! The field for camping was huge so everyone had plenty of space. You could choose your own pitch and also have your car with you. The owner also sold wood for firepits which was quite cheap so it was lovely to have fires in the evenings. The showers were also lovely and hot.

We knew this was a basic campsite but unfortunately it wasn't very clean. There was no hot water at the washing up area or in the toilets for hand washing and the soap dispenser in the ladies was was always empty. Also, the flooring in the ladies toilets was extremely damp, areas had been patched up and sometimes when brushing your teeth your felt like you were sinking!

This is my 4th or 5th time at the site since 2020.. every review I've left has been a positive one. I spent bank holiday Monday here on my own and felt very safe (even woth the wild winds). I was joined layer in the week by extended family who also loved the site. We have swam in the river and played in the field. Campfires and smores at nighttime and visited Barmouth Beach and Bala lake. We even arranged with the owners Nia and her husband to stay an extra night and leave on Sunday.. the skies at night have been beautiful 😍 the kids have loved getting back to basics with no TV or video games.. would highly recommend if you want a basic site where you have no choice but to relax and enjoy the scenery and the sound of the river.. can't wait to be back here and I haven't even left yet!

The fact that others leave their waste and rubbish when there are ample bins at the start of the site and expect the owners to pick up after them..

Our third year at this site and once again it was fantastic. We will definitely be coming back for a 4th year 🏕️

Really lovely site in rural part of Wales. Clean facilities on site. Only reason i've dropped to 4 star is that there is nothing on site for children- I know it's back to basics but a little play park/ set of swings would have been great. No complaints tho we had a lovely time.

Very well priced beautiful field and ample toilets. We had a horrible wet period but the hosts were accommodating and allowed time to pack up after it was dry. Good location but the walk to the Starbucks was more like half an hour

Great views, very scenic area. Overall great value.

Only one sink to wash up with no lighting.
The step down from the toilets and showers is very big, some more steps would be safer for children!

Grass is very long, isn't kept short.

Some guests didn't stick to the curfew and played music into the night which was a bit annoying.

Lovely little campsite, friendly welcome on arrival and the views are stunning from the field. The site isn't to far for the town centre about 1.3 miles away which has gorgeous eateries and shops. Barmouth beach is also worth a visit about 25 minutes away. All in all would definitely visit again!
Just an idea but a pizza van would be a lovely idea on the site.
